Make yourself go somewhere you’ve always wanted to go…. using a green screen! (Sheets work well too). Tell us a story while you’re “visiting” this special place.

Shoot yourself in front of a green screen or a sheet (hang it up so that it takes up the whole video screen.) Use a tripod to keep the camera steady. Video yourself… make it believable.

You can use any video editing software, but I used pinnacle movie maker, so that’s what this tutorial is going to show you how to use.

Download a video from YouTube or something of what you want the background to be.

Drag both videos (green screen video  on top layer, video  on bottom layer) so they are in sync.. You may have to cut some of one of the videos out so that they are the same length.

You will want to use Chroma key for this. You want to enable it and apply to new clips. For “Presets” select green screen key.

Move the green screen layer to the bottom row, and the video to the top one.

Play with the transparencies to make it more realistic.

Have fun!
