Room Raiders

For this assignment, I decided to raid my own room. It was a spur of the moment decision as in I saw the assignment and raided my room at that moment. In order to create this video, I had my boyfriend record me as I went through my room with my iPhone 5s. We recorded five different segments. Then, I uploaded the videos to my MacBook and used iMovie.

First, I imported the videos into iMovie:

After cutting and pasting certain scenes, I added transitions to the video. Then, I added titles as a finishing touch:

Add Transitions

Add Title

Although, the instructions are pretty simple. I had difficulties at first. I had to play around with all the settings. Once I figured it out, it became simple. The biggest challenge for me was how to upload the file into WordPress. It was a big file and I had to tinker with Photobucket, but I eventually used Youtube. Then, I used KeepVid to download the Youtube video in order to create a smaller file to insert into this blog.

Room Raiders (Sterne Edition) 2*

For this assignment we were asked to raid the room of a willing person, my family is on a cruise so I just texted my brother and told him I was going to raid his room. He was dissapointed that he didn’t have time to add silly/incriminating things in there to make it humorous. The Camera Man is my wonderful boyfriend Bubba. We didn’t find anything incriminating, I was throughly saddened by this..

Room Raiders

Ever seen the MTV show Room Raiders? Basically, a person selected one of three people to date after having a chance to carefully examine their room. Cameras followed them in as they searched the room and made guesses as to what things in the room said about the person. Make a video doing the same thing to your own room, or better yet a friend’s (make sure they’re ok with that though). To be complete, your video should include titles, credits, and several “cuts” to show things from different angles.
