Here I found a photo of a gate that is attempting to block….golf-carts? I found it amusing as this could literally stop no one and no vehicles.
I chose this photo because this is some times how people attempt to do things, we try and completely miss the mark.
For this assignment, we had to find a picture of someone doing something wrong. I searched on google for a while until I found a good image that I thought represented this assignment: an suv in the water along with the boat they were attempting to launch.

Gambino is not fully in his role yet so this was a bit challenging. I only included elementary school in his education section as i found it funny that because he’s a mobster he only went to elementary school! I downloaded a template off of Microsoft to create the template and that was very straight forward. I used print screen to include he resume on my site as well as here. Enjoy!

Use X-Ray Goggles from Hackasaurus to modify the board further to personalize it for your character. Bonus points if you build a page and have visitors to your blog guess which character you picked!

For this assignment I made a pinterest account. This assignment caught my eye as I have always been intrigued about Pinterest. I found so many things that I wanted to “pin” for myself but kept remembering that this was for Gambino! I easily found 20 things to pin and the majority of Gambino’s pins were money, guns, and alcohol! Pretty much explains my character!

This assignment was incredibly goofy and I loved it. This is “Bear dog”, Gambino’s best friend and number one pal. This creature is a dog(German Short hair) and a grizzly bear’s head. These are two of Gambino’s favorite animals and because he is such a bad ass he was able to combine the two into one animal. I created this through GIMP and was able to use the lasso tool to crop the bears head. I though the final product turned out pretty well and it was fairly easy to accomplish. Overall and funny and relaxing assignment.

I like to say this phrase a lot “You’re doing it wrong.” Just as dry and monotone as I can manage. If it’s timed perfectly, I can’t amuse myself better any other way. Your assignment is to find the best possible photo you can of someone or something “doing it wrong.” Sometimes people drive the wrong way on a one-way street or there are signs or stairs that point or lead nowhere. Find something wrong and riff on it. Two stars, cause it’s a photo that might take some hunting but no editing is required.

This was somewhat hard to figure out how to relate this theme to Gambino. I chose a picture of a gangster(Al Capone) getting arrested. If Gambino were to see this he would for sure have a nice chuckle. To Gambino this would certainly be “You’re doing it wrong”. Gambino has never been caught and with the way he rolls he most likely never will. No editing was necessary for this assignment and it was a breeze uploading into this post. Enjoy!

I found this picture a while back and could not resist using it for this assignment. I have an even greater appreciation for this photo because of my love for baseball and it fits the “You’re Doing it Wrong” quote perfectly. Obviously from this photo you can see the ball is no where near the “strike zone” but the kid swang his bat anyways! You cant win them all in life and this poor kid certainly did not win this one.

For this assignment, I went on one of my favorite websites, TheChive, to find the photo. TheChive is a website that has albums of pictures. A popular album they put up is actually called “you’re doing it wrong.” The picture I found is of a bag of sugar that says “sugar free.” When I saw this, I laughed because real sugar can’t be sugar free. I’m sure some idiot fell for this thinking that particular bag of sugar was healthier than another one. When I see things like that listed on food products, I never know whether or not to believe them, because facts can be misconstrued in so many ways!
There are some people in the world that really make you question humanity. Some people call them Darwins Exceptions and others just say “You’re doing it wrong.” The title of this assignment is “You’re doing it wrong.” I had to find a picture of someone doing something that was just absolutely wrong. I witnessed and event that made me think “Did that really just happen?” I chose a similar picture to the event.
I was at a gas station and I heard a noise that sounded like something hitting a car. I looked at the car across from the pump I was at and a lady drove away from her pump with the nozzle still in her car. She didn’t rip it off of the pump like in this picture, but she quickly got out of her car and looked so embarrassed. She quickly put the nozzle back into the pump and drove away. I wanted to laugh so bad but I kept a semi straight face. Once she was gone I cracked up.
” Doing it Wrong” a set of cement stairs with a ramp beside the stairs, but the length of the ramp is half way up the stairs. Thus, the whole purpose of the ramp is defeated because people who cannot walk up the stairs would still have to walk up the stairs once the ramp end

I chose this picture of a kitten who clearly doesn’t know how to kiss. Obviously, that’s not what the kitten is actually doing, but I was restraining myself from being as sarcastic as I normally am, and buffering the potential sarcasm with a kitty.
Sarcasm is at the heart of this ds106 assignment, which speaks to me on a cellular level. Maybe I’m stuck up. Maybe I think I’m better than other people. Or maybe I just don’t know how to handle other people’s stupidity. I blame food service. Regardless, I love the idea of this post, and I will probably start saying, “You’re doing it wrong,” on a daily basis.
Essentially, the point is to find a funny picture of something used improperly, spelled incorrectly, or something generally stupid, and use the caption, “You’re doing it wrong.” The example on the site was using a bike lock to secure a car to a pole. What? Really?
I didn’t go quite as caustic with mine. I searched for funny pictures, stupid pictures, dumb pictures, etc. I found quite a few grammar pictures with restaurant signs and the like that I considered using, but when I found the kitten… I had to.
