To my dearest…

Dear Future Husband,

I hope that you know I love you and I always will. I cant wait to see you standing at the end of the aisle. I want to hold your hands at the altar and just stare into each others eyes. I dream of that day with you. Where you will be mine forever. I can’t wait to show you off to everyone and let them know you are my husband and love of my life. I look forward to traveling with you and finding new adventures. We will experience everything together. I expect that you will always be there for me and I will always be there for you, no matter what. I hope our future will be full of great times and good laughs. I know you will be a great husband and father to our future children. You will give them your all and treat them the best. There will be days when it will be hard, but I know together we will make it out fine. Hand in hand we will make it through the best and the worst of times. I wouldn’t want to go through life with anyone else, but you. I want you to know I am proud of you and everything you have accomplished. I love that you put everyone before yourself and expect nothing back. I love that you know how to fix anything, my own handyman. I love that you support me and hold me up when I need it the most. I enjoy every second that we have spent together and look forward to the rest of our seconds together. I feel safe in your arms like nothing else in the world can break us apart. I can’t wait to grow old with you and take care of you when you need me. This is everything I have wanted since I was a child, and I am happy to say that I have finally found the man of my dreams, my soulmate, and my best friend. I love you the most.

Forever and always,

Katelyn

Dear Tate,

If you have opened this, that means we have been married for twenty-five days today, and that we are celebrating our anniversary by renewing our vows. I want to start off by saying thank you. Thank you for loving and caring for me until now and for being my best friend.

When I first immigrated to the United States, I found it difficult to make friends, and to get myself out there. But you, you were my first friend. You pushed me to my limits and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. We even had the opportunity to open our own saloon. Together, we purchased a home, and settled down.

Tate, I don’t know where I would be without you. Again, I want to thank you for everything including your laughter and personality. You make me happy everyday and will continue to do so until the end of time. I love you, Tate. Happy Anniversary.

Love,

Riza

I created this assignment because I incorporated Riza, my Western character, and her husband, Tate. In this letter to her husband, she is expressing her love for him on their anniversary.

Dear Future Husband,

As of January 17, 2016 I have no idea who you are, but I am excited to find out in the near future. Last year I went through something really difficult that made me realize and fully know the kind of man I want to be with/share a future with. So here it is: a man who is sweet, makes me laugh, picks me up when i’m down, and fully knows Jesus. Maybe it’s too much to ask for, but when it really comes down to it, if you and I can have a meaningful conversation about the lord and agree (or disagree) on some stuff and still love each other, then thats all I want. Yet, as for me I promise to love always love you even when I hate you, to be kind, and considerate and to listen when you need it the most. You and I, we don’t have to be like the Nicholas Sparks movies, we just have to be real. So here is to me hoping that our future will be full of the lord, laughter, love, and friendship.

After all, the GooGoo Dolls were right when they said:

“I’ll be kind, if you’ll be faithful
You be sweet and I’ll be grateful
Cover me with kisses dear
Lighten up the atmosphere
Keep me warm inside our bed
I got dreams of you all through my head”

Love,

Your future wife

Dear Future Husband

Dear Future Husband,

Our future can be found in a mixture of the new Megan Trainer song “Dear Future Husband” and the song “Forever and Ever Amen” by Randy Travis. It should be the perfect mix of fast and happy and slow and romantic. But also it should be a mix of the versus from those two songs. Our future sound be full of happiness and laughter no matter if we are mad at each other or having a good day. I want to sit around and watch movies with you on cold days and spend warm days outside playing in the park with our children or dogs.

Love,

Your future wife

For this assignment, it is pretty quick and too the point. Others might have longer versions or might have a tougher time describing what they want in their significant other. I’m already engaged so I know who my future husband is and I know the things I see in him and what I want so it wasn’t too hard for me. When writing this assignment, try not to think about the physical attributes (even though those can be used) but try to focus more on what brings you happiness and joy.

Dear Future Husband

Ever think of things to say to your future husband or wife? Write down a short letter to your future husband or wife letting them know the things you want to see in them, expect, and hope the future will be like with them!
