Tina Krueger

This mashup assignment was to take “Talking Tina’s” head and to put it on something else. I was not and am still not entirely sure what Talking Tina is, but I went ahead and put her on Freddie Krueger to keep with the 80’s theme! I used Photoshop for this assignment, and it was pretty simple!

Talky Tina Transformer

Take Tina’s head and place it on another person or animal or fictional character or something. The original idea was to swap a babies head (now I ain’t saying Tina is a baby) and a dolls head. So like you could find an image of a baby and a doll and put the dolls head on the baby and the babies head on the doll. Just search “Talky Tina” on the web and stick her head on something else.

Assignment Bank- Mashup Assignments

I found Talky Tina’s creepy head through a quick Google image search. I had a great idea for who I was going to put her head on. Who better to have a creepy doll head than the transformer, Bumblebee?

I think if Talky Tina was actually a transformer, she would definitely be one creepy Decepticon. I edited this photo together using Adobe Photoshop Mix on my phone. It was a simple cut and place edit, although I did have a difficult time trying to cut out Tina’s head. I think I might have lost one of her pigtails in the process, but we could just say that it’s over her shoulder.

This assignment was really quick and easy, but also fun. It’s funny to see the doll’s head on the body of a giant transformer. The picture is kind of disturbing, but so is the picture of Talky Tina just by herself. This was a fun mashup.

Week 12 Tutorial

Tutorial for The @IamTalkyTina Headswap.

For this assignment I used a phone app called Faceover Lite. I saved the two photos I wanted to use. Then, I imported both photos into the app. Used the selection tool over the face and copied it. You can adjust the selection tool over the face and paste or swap the copied face onto the second photo. You can then save the modified photo and share it on your social medial sites. In my case I saved the photo and posted it in my blog post. This app is free. It is really simple to use.

Mashups Assignments for week 12

Mashups assignments    12 Stars

Logo Switch Up     2 Stars

For this Mashup, I combined two of my kids favorite places to eat. We now have McDonald’s selling pizza. I used Canva to combine the McDonald logo with a pizza from Pizza hut. I tried to put the pizza behind the golden arches but I ended up making a mess. So we have a floating McDonald’s logo with a floating pizza.

Holiday Mashup     4 1/2 Stars

Holiday Mashup required me to combine 3 holidays into one picture. I used Firey Dragon that I created for this class. She is wearing a Santa hat for Christmas, holding an Easter basket with Easter eggs and she is holding the American flag that represents the 4th of July. I used Canva for this project and searched for pictures that had no background or where considered transparent. It did take time to resize all the elements in order to fit Fireys size. It was  trial and error until I got the look I wanted.

Mashing Friends And Emojis     4 Stars

This is my favorite Emoji, I have a pair of sun glass almost like the Emoji. I couldn’t find anyone to pose wearing my glasses or any other pair of dark sun glasses. So, I searched on the internet for photos of people wearing sunglasses, I was determined to do this assignment. I used Canva to put the two pictures side by side for this assignment.

The @IamTalkyTina Headswap   21/2 Stars

For this assignment I used a phone app to put the head of Talky Tina on Albert Einsteins body. I used Faceover Lite  phone app, its free through the App store. I was really surprised how well the hair of both characters blended together in this photo.  It did take a little trial and error to get the Talky Tina face cropped and blended into the Einstein photo. I am happy with the results.

Why Tina Why!!

My son will hate me if he ever finds out I did this hahaha

For my first assignment of the week I did this assignment, which required me to put Talky Tina’s face over another image. After doing research on what in tarnation Talky Tina was, this was a simple assignment. Immediately I started thinking about my son’s favorite show, “Super Why” and how the main character would look much better if he had Talky Tina’s face. So I used faceswaponline.com to put my girl Tina on. Ruining children’s TV shows and taking names, all in a day’s work! Check it out.

007 – Talky Tina

Since I could not relate this particular assignment to my secret agent so I dedicated this one to our theme. The project was to get a picture of Talky Tina’s head, which required a lot of editing. Talky Tina, for those of you that do not know, it a talking doll from Twilight Zone. She is a creepy doll that talks, keeps coming back after being thrown out of the house and disposed of far far away. It is actually a comical episode. Well, here is my image of Talking Tina, 007 style.

Hey Talky Tina

FullSizeRenderFor this assignment I used an app on my phone called cut me in.  I screen shot a picture of Talky Tina on my phone and cropped it a little. I then uploaded Talky Tina’s head into the picture and edited around the edges a little more. I sent the finished product to my email and uploaded the photo to WordPress and waaalaaa!

New Mount Rushmore

It looks like Talking Tina has been etched into history and is now a part of our national park system.

This assignment is from the ds106 assignment bank and is worth 2.5 stars. It was not that hard to do,  I just cropped Tina’s head and added it to Mount Rushmore.

Talky Tina Head Swap

For this mashup assignment I had to put Talky Tina’s head on something else. I decided to go with a popular meme:

Talky Tina Mashup

This assignment was tough because I didn’t know what I wanted to put Talky Tina’s head on. I asked my roommates and they pointed me towards memes and I eventually thought of this one. It is perfect because I was able to change the ending to “Talky Tina is coming” which is pretty creepy. Overall I enjoyed making this assignment but was frustrated with it until I thought of what I wanted to do.

Creepy Dorthey

For my last MashUp Assignment I chose the I @IamTalkyTina Headswap (2 stars). It caught my eye because its such a weird assignment, but I kept thinking of all the things you could put Tina’s creepy head on. Here’s my submission:

creepy doll mashup

I decided to put Tina’s head on Dorthey from the Wizard of Oz, because Tina’s pigtails and dress reminded me of what Dorthey wore in the movie. Its kind of creepy how well they go together after I finished. Together it actually looks like a complete doll.  The hands and overall pose is very doll like. I successfully creeped myself out.

To make the MashUp I took a picture of Dorthey and Tina off the internet and used pixlr.com to combine them. I used the lasso tool to outline where to copy and paste Tina’s head into the picture of Dorthey. From there I changed the Dorthey picture to black and white to match the Tina head. After resizing Tina’s head, it was considerably more difficult to remove Dorthey’s original hair. It was so hard, because her hair was pitch black and rested on top of her dress. To fix it I used the clone stamp tool to take the pattern from the dress to recreate the straps of her dress and then filled in the neckline with a similar white color.
