I am feeling a little home sick at moment. I’ve been so much crap. I don’t think I can’t take this anymore. So I decided to create this Survival Video for my younger brother and sister to prep for the world. I tried to convey the message the best I could in a positive way. I turned the camera sideways to visually show life is sideways. I just wanted them to know I that I have their back if there ever in a dark place. I am trying to hold on. I must hold on. I will do it for them.

For this assignment I had to make a video of how to survive something. I made a video on how to survive an angry customer because that can be a big problem sometimes in the hotel business. Over time you get used to people being rude and learn better techniques of how to deal with them. This video is mainly for new employees so that they have a better understanding of what to do in this type of situation. Most of the time I would tell them to just come get me to deal with it, but they should also know the normal protocol.
For one of the two other video assignments that I did other than the video essay and the swede episode I decided to do a video survival guide (3 stars). The original star point is higher but I just didn’t feel that I had to work hard enough for anything higher than a 3.
When I first saw the description I immediately had an idea to do a survival video for finals week. It came so quick and it’s something that I have been successful doing so far in my college career so I decided that it would work. Here it is let me know what you think.

When I saw this assignment in the bank, my mind immediately began to think of a bunch of “highly unlikely moments.” Thankfully, I still had my computer up, and I’m now making use of a vimeo account (which apparently needs roughly about 40 minutes to compress a video). I rather enjoyed this one.
So the idea of an inanimate object attack came to mind when I thought of previous shows/movies. The two that came to mind was the movie Small Soldiers and the episode of Futurama where the robots rebelled. While there are a ton of things you could do, I thought about this, specifically if you were on campus (otherwise I would have mentioned use of more actual dangerous tools, rather than what I mentioned).
Anyways, this was all done for the sake of goofing around, so I hope you enjoyed it!

For this assignment (http://assignments.ds106.us/assignmen…) I was supposed to make a video for someone on how to survive something I have already gone through. My video is a survival guide on how to survive an ACL tear. I tore my ACL when I was in 8th grade, so I think the advice that I give in this video could really help a lot of people! I created this video on the video software that was already downloaded on my computer (Dell webcam central).Tthis was worth 4 stars.
Apart of this week’s work was to also finish out our contributions to the class and really make our marks! An essential way that we had to do this was through creating assignments for future classes, which was way more exciting than I thought it would be! Actually, my first assignment was made awhile ago because I had been anticipating this so it’s awesome that I finally go to submit it.
ASSIGNMENT #1(VIDEO): The first assignment I submitted was a Survival video! This idea came to me when my mom told me that she would never be able to survive as a freshmen in college because it is so different than when she was younger. So, I took this opportunity to make her video of some important things that would potentially help her survive her freshmen year if she had to go through it again. I made this four star’s just because it takes a lot more creativity than most would think. I just happen to have an ah-ha! moment that really helped me but I hope when people see my video, they also have those ah-ha moments that make the assignment easier. However, for those who don’t, that’s why I wanted it to be four star’s.
ASSIGNMENT #2(VISUAL): The second assignment I created as Adventure In A Day! Which only came to me after my friends and I were fooling around on my photobooth, pretending we were underwater, or going to Paris for the day. So I figured, almost every computer, or smartphone, has some sort of way to put themselves in a background to make it seem like they went on an ‘adventure’ for the day. Apart of the assignment is to also create a story around it, which is two star’s. However, if you make the effort to take multiple pictures and create a bigger storyline, than I would add a star for that extra effort and creativity!
