Well I woke up this morning before my alarm and that never happens. The worst part was that I couldn’t fall back asleep so I just kind of sat there for a bit not really knowing what to do and getting increasingly more irritated.

This meme is centered around the premise of the novel. the main plot.
the government develops “Captain Trip”
a super deadly population control intended virus
they well, “trip” up
they release the virus to the public and well kill everyone.
why couldn’t they have designed a virus SLIGHTLY less violent so that everyone didnt die?
For one of our 12 stars worth of assignments, I chose the What’s the Meme? assignment for the Book of the Unnamed Midwife.
I thought this would be a fun and cute one to do, and I wasn’t disappointed! I really had to think about what I wanted my meme to be about, and out of all of my ideas, this one stood out the most to me. There are so many times where the men were scared the Unnamed Midwife would try and take their women away because they thought she was a man. I can just imagine the exasperation of knowing that you are a woman as well and there’s not really any point to their fear. I mean, unless there is *wink wink*.
For my final 2 stars, I wanted to do something that I was passionate. Something that I like to spend my time doing. And that is looking at memes. I think this whole book is very interesting, but especially that people got visions of Mother Abigail and then went to her. If I had just survived the apocalypse, I think I would write off these visions as something weird and continue to live my life.
I used Canva to make this.
This is the start of the 12 star assignments that I will be completing revolving around the book The Passage by Justin Cronin. This is a two star assignment and the meme I created is a confused, young girl and the meme is basically about her mom leaving her at a convent with a Sister. So one, her mom just abandons her and two, her mom leaves her to live with a stranger(s). I decided to use this picture because it is funny and it is a popular picture. Also, it seemed fitting for the situation that occurred in the book.
I created this meme for the 2 star visual assignment What’s the Meme? I created this meme for one of the scenes within the book. One of the battles the individuals lined up in a firing line, by this time there was a better plan of attack where firing line took turns.
I created this meme for the 2 star visual assignment What’s the Meme? I created this meme for one of the scenes within the book. One of the battles the individuals lined up in a firing line, by this time there was a better plan of attack where firing line took turns or shifts, in helping to take out and stack the bodies of the zombies. If a person got tired due to exhaustion an individual overseeing their progress would tap them out and replace them with someone with fresh eyes. I feel that the person in the photo is more than ready to be relieved.
I was immediately drawn to the What’s The Meme? assignment, as I’ve tried my hand at turning my friends into memes before. The attempt was a very humorous endeavor that I found quite personally rewarding. However, the final product was made with paint, and was somewhat frustrating as I couldn’t use any outline features for the text, which was ultimately something I hoped learn in choosing this assignment.
For this attempt, I first began by searching through my photos for funny/captionable moments. After, previewing my selections, I opened one in paint to begin editing, but still could find no way to outline my text. I decided to explore using GIMP or Photoshop as an option. Unfortunately, Photoshop appeared to cost money, so I opted for the free version of GIMP. While playing around with GIMP, I still couldn’t find a way to outline my text, so I resorted to a Google search that brought me to this article. But I got stuck trying to create a path from text, so I switched gears to this article, which did a better job of explaining the process more thoroughly. Even then I still had some hiccups. Sometimes I hadn’t selected the correct box or option, resulting in incomplete fills, or worse, everything being filled. But after some serious trial and error, I successfully created three memes of my friends, which continue to make me laugh.
Original assignment may be found here (2.5 Stars)
I’ve made my way around the web long enough to know what a meme is. As an active Reddit user I have come across many meme’s in my life. Especially one’s involving cats. My love for superheros and comic book characters made me think of a popular meme. It’s Spider Man sitting at a desk.
I’ve actually never made a meme until this one. Peter Parker, known by many as Spider Man, is a smart man. He could fight crime and take this course (probably at the same time). I used makeameme.org to create the meme. I would suggest others to do this assignment as well. The difficulty is worth the 2.5 stars.
