The “Body Image Book Cover Design” is a design assignment where you create a book cover about body image. Body image issues are huge and relevant in today’s society because of social media, so I made the book cover that I did. Social media affects many people’s views about their bodies because of the impossible standards that it creates for people, which especially affects younger people because they are learning about themselves, and having these standards is toxic. There is a lot of positivity on social media that has to do with body image, but there is also a ton of negativity that I see on it, which is extremely hard to disconnect yourself from. As a society, we truly need to do better, and that starts with holding people accountable for the words they say, even if it’s through a digital screen.
