Theme Song

Probably the most difficult, I’ve never really given my theme song a lot of thought before. When something more appropriate comes to mind I’m sure I’ll change it.

Geoffry’s Theme

The theme for me and my character!!

Your Theme Song- 4 stars.

This assignment was to make your own theme song. I thought about using the opening to Angel of Death by Slayer and a choir singing, but then thought not. I found somethings that aren’t as aggressive to put together.

All Hail Jota

For my next audio assignment, assignment 1432, they asked If I had the opportunity to create my own theme music, what would it sound like?

I IMMEDIATELY knew I had to go get the instrumental of Superstar by Lupe Fiasco! All time favorite song right there. I would listen to it before every highschool soccer game… oh the memories. I went to youtube and found the instrumental and used the recommended mp3 converter, Vidtomp3. Once downloaded, I opened up Audacity and pasted the file into it. I then headed over to www.freesound.org for some extra sound effects. I decided i wanted a paparazzi feel to it so i added the sound of a camera shutter going off. I copy and pasted it in a bunch of times, just varying the positioning so it would sound like a lot of cameras being used at once. I also added a coin machine sound in the beginning for some added effect. It was a fun assignment because I am such a huge fan of the song. Also, Audacity is becoming a lot more easy to manage. At first, I was skeptical, but now Im beginning to grasp the application pretty well making every project a little bit more enjoyable.

4 STARS

Cheer Is The Theme Of My Life…Seriously.

http://assignments.ds106.us/assignments/your-theme-song/ (4 stars)

I have garage band on my phone and was messing around with some cheer girls in order to make music for upcoming events in the season, this is truly my theme song. Not only do songs like “Give Your Heart A Break” and “Titanium” describe my life perfectly, but the fact that this is a sample of what cheer music is like describes my life. I have been a cheerleader for six years and absolutely everything in my life revolves around it. I also incorporated some sounds into it which in a routine would mean we are hitting a stunt, or tumbling, but since it was required in this assignment also. It sounds a little fuzzy because I couldn’t figure out how to get garage band on my computer, so I had to record it from my phone.

Theme Song

This assignment is worth 4 stars. I did not over lay anything, this is just the original track. I just felt that during this mission this is exactly what would be playing. I also knew that if this was real life it needs a song to help move the story along. It is a spy […]

Rawls’s Theme Song

For my first Rawls assignment for this week I did “Your Theme Song” (4 stars). I thought Bad Boys would be perfect for Rawls not only because he is police but because he may or may not like bad boys ;)

How I did it:

First I found the song that I wanted and then I changed it to MP3 using youtube-mp3.org. After I downloaded it, I opened Audacity and imported it into there. Then I just trimmed it to the part that I wanted and highlighted the end and went to Effects>Fade Out to make it fade out at the end so it didn’t just abruptly stop. Then I tried to upload it to SoundCloud but of course it wouldn’t let me because it is copyrighted. I didn’t know how else I could put it on the internet so that I could post it to my social media sites for Rawls so this is how I’m doing it. Not the most efficient way but it’s all I could think of.

Ziggy Might Be Crazy

Ziggy ruminated on the inevitability of being unable to escape his past through the creation of his theme song which merges the shooting that got him incarcerated with Gnarls Barkley’s “I Might Be Crazy.”

He shared this on Tumblr, Google+, Facebook, and Twitter.
