I didn’t really like this assignment. I feel I don’t have the skills or equipment
to be doing this and it was very annoying and frustrating.

Using Audacity (or any other sound editing program) create an audio mashup with 2 very distinct songs. According to wikepedia these mashaps may fall under “fairuse”.

I used up Audacity to mash up three of my favorite covers! Let’s be real though, it was not easy. I uploaded each song and then listened to find commonalities in certain parts of the different songs and I changed the amplitude to make them blend into each other. I tried to play at two songs at all times. I tried to match the lyrics the best I could. Enjoy!

For this assignment (assignments.ds106.us/assignments/music-mashup/ ) I did a mashup of The twilight zone theme song (www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVSRm80WzZk) and Madonnas song 4 minutes featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland (www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHHUhcV2e…ist=TLusySCX_04k4)
I chose these two songs, because I wanted to do something to represent the Twilight zone series episode time enough at last. The twilight zone is just an amazing instrumental with great build up, and the theme of the episode was that he did not have enough time – but time is not everything. I picked Madonnas song because she also has great music and I thought I could put them together well.
I used Audacity audio editing to edit this piece and I tried really hard to blend the different pieces of the songs together to make it seem like one whole song. I was not able to figure out how to get rid of me clicking my mouse, but I think I will figure that out eventually.
This was worth 3 Stars
For those of you that haven’t watched 30 Rock, there is a particular clip that I always found to be really funny….and then I threw it in with Bob Seger. This was the easiest audio assignment I’ve done yet, as I had to reuse mostly the same 5 seconds and put it in the correct order over and over again. It was pretty time consuming to go in and find every instance I wanted to replace, but eventually I did it! So here is my Bob Seger/ Tina Fey Music Mash-Up.
I hope you guys like it!
EDIT: OK, so I’m not so proud of this, but I think it taught me a little more of creative commons. I had to put a minute of silence upfront so SoundCloud would stop deleting the song I also had to name the file “Cheese”.
I chose songs “All That She Wants” by Ace of Base and “Just Can’t Get Enough” by the Black Eyed Peas to mash-up. Hope you like it!

I created a Music Mashup (found in the audio assignment database) of two different songs that were related to monkeys. Related to my final project and Curious George, these songs are something he’d be interested in!
Immediately, the theme song from George of the Jungle popped into my head, so I found a video on youtube with the theme song and downloaded the mp3 via KeepVid.
I then googled some songs that are related to monkeys, and found Chuck Berry‘s Too Much Monkey Business.
Using Audacity, I put the two songs together and tried to make a smooth transition between them. Finally, I uploaded the mashup to Soundcloud.
I create an audio mashup with 2 very distinct soundtracks from “Game of Death”.

For the Ds106 audio assignment I was asked to make a music mashup which means to take two distinct songs and mix them together. I attempted to do this mash up using the Space Jam Theme song and Funk Master Flex’s C’mon Baby, which were both my favorite songs during the time I was growing up here is what it sounds like:
I used audacity the free audio editing tool. This tool is pretty simple to use, but if I watched a few more tutorials I think I could have made this mash up a little smoother.
