“Create a banner displaying your favorite superhero character.”
For the Superhero Banner assignment I decided to go with Green Arrow because he is my favorite superhero. I like Green Arrow because of his look. I wear hoods every time I get the chance and I’m also a huge fan of bows and crossbows. So Green Arrow is the perfect superhero for me.
To make the superhero banner for this assignment I started by finding a cool image of Green Arrow by using Google Images. When I found one, I downloaded it and opened it up on Microsoft Word. From there, I inserted the picture and set it to “Behind Text” So the text could be seen through the picture. Then I typed out “Green Arrow”and positioned it to my desired location on the image, turned the font size up to 36 and changed the font to “Chiller”. I chose the Chiller font for Green Arrow because some of the letters have sharp lines in them like the G in Green and the A in arrow, so I thought it would be a good fit for a superhero who fights with sharp arrows. To get the reflection effect on the lettering, I clicked the “Text Effects and Typography” button, or the glowing blue “A” in the Font section. I then hovered my mouse over the “Reflections” menu and chose the very last option for the reflection effect.
Ok so this is a banner I made for the DS 106 assignment, “Superhero Banner“. It was as simple as it said make a banner of your favorite superhero. This was a pretty simple to do I just searched the image and edited it in Banner Snack. Fun
This is my entry for the Superhero banner assignment http://assignments.ds106.us/assignments/superhero-banner/. Silver Surfer has always been one of my favorite Marvel Superheroes mainly because I think he looks cool so I decided to make this banner of him. I went to mybannermaker.com to make it and just used an image of silver surfer I liked.
For this assignment I had to create a banner of my favorite superhero….(When I was younger of course..lol!)  So I chose the Power Puff Girls because they were my favorite super-heroes when I was a child and my mother even threw me a Power Puff Girl birthday party when I turned 12…..that is one party I will never forget!! I had so much fun with my friends and family! This design assignment was the easiest of all design assignments, all I had to do was upload my picture of the Power Puff girls to Picnik.com and then I created the banner with borders from Picnik, and then I also used the mirror-border effect on Picnik which created triple border and then I added colors inside each border and I had the ability to adjust the inner thickness, and the outer lines thickness. Then I used the text tool to create “The Power Puff Girls” text and  the “Always At Your Rescue” text at the bottom which I used the creative fonts tools from Picnik as well. Next I went to the stickers tab where I got to choose from plenty stickers and themes to paste on my banner so i choose to paste 3 hearts in the color of each Power Puff Girl and then I added the starts on the corner of the bottom text to make it look more girly, just like the Power Puff Girls. I had  so much fun playing around with the tools and getting much more creative with them! Hope you Like:)
The assignment I made was to create a banner which displays your favorite superhero. I choose spiderman:
To get the grunge background, I downloaded some grunge photoshop brushes from deviantart.com and applied it to a blank black canvas. I then used the dodge tool to add some shine in the background. I got the spiderman image from online, which I cropped and placed upside down to give it the effect of him hanging. Finally, after some color corrections, I added the text which I decided to multi-color with the same colors used in SpiderMans costume.
I think it turned out well. I didn’t mean to have spiderman camouflage with the background, however, once I completed it I thought it added to the whole stealthiness of spiderman so I kept it like that.
