For this assignment I decided to go with one of my all time favorite movies Harry Potter, I just chose the first one, and edit some of my favorite movie clips from the movie that explain the plot. I decided to focus more on the first half of the movie just to keep the video relatively short. to include the classic “Y’er a wizard Harry” but I also added some other clips like him living under the stairs, speaking to snakes and then some of him in Hogwarts because they all tell how he became who he is as a person as well as what his journey will be. It is a long action reel because it’s a long movie but I tried to keep it short as well and I know I didn’t get all the important parts. This was so difficult to figure out how to upload. My god.

If you’re like me, you like watching your favorite scenes from movies over and over again. Thus, when I saw the prompt “Favorite Movie Clip,” I was really excited to find all of my favorite scenes from Home and compile them into one epic mashup. The challenge specifically mentioned telling the story through the clips I chose, and thus, I started there.

My first step was to edit all of the clips down to the exact scene I wanted. Originally, I was just planning on selecting the scenes I needed to tell the story. However, as I progressed further in the movie, I found myself incorporating more and more of my favorite funny scenes and lines into the movie, as well as the pivotal plot moments. At the end of this, I had about 20-25 minutes of material.

I went back through my selections to try and find something to clip, but I couldn’t bring myself to remove anything. Every piece that I had chosen was either important plot-wise or so hilarious I couldn’t bear to remove it. Finally, I gave up on the idea of removing any more material. Instead, I went through the clips and created subtitles for my favorite lines. This was completely unnecessary, but I really enjoyed it. I also had to adjust the audio timing slightly since the original clips were slightly off. Finally, I added a credit clip, exported the video, and uploaded it to my Google Drive. This mashup took the longest out of all of my video assignments, simply because I had a long video to clip down to a reasonable amount. However, I really enjoyed creating it, and I know I will enjoy watching it over and over whenever I want to see my favorite scenes again.

For this mashup assignment, I took my favorite movie, The Iron Giant, picked out my favorite scenes, and edited them together to explain the story.

In order to do this assignment, I looked up several clips from the movie on Youtube. I downloaded those clips through 4K Video Downloader, and then imported those videos into iMovie. I split the clips and arranged them to best fit the story I wanted to share. Once I was finished, I exported the final video, and uploaded the trailer to Vimeo.

I’m really happy with the final product. This is my all time favorite movie, and I talk about it every chance I get. Take a look!

This is my mashup for one of my favorite movies.  I don’t know why I like Trainspotting so much but it’s one of the few films that I can watch over and over again.  Given the content, I don’t know what that says about me.

I used the 4K video downloader to download videos from Youtube and Final Cut Pro provided on the school computers to edit since my laptop doesn’t have movie editing capabilities.  This was rated three stars.

When I saw the title, I was instantly hooked to it. I saw the opportunity to make a mashup video of my favorite movie of all time: Jurassic Park. I was introduced to this movie when I was five by my grandpa and loved it ever since. I can’t count the times that I have watched this movie. It also gave me my fascination towards dinosaurs when I was young and dreamt to be a paleontologist but sadly the country that I’m from, Malaysia, doesn’t have any dinosaur fossils. Mainly because they all turned to petroleum.

The progress on how I did this assignment was looking up clips that I wanted on youtube and downloaded them from youtube downloading site called onlinevideoconverter.com. Later I used Sony Vegas Pro to edit and joined the clips together.
