Make your own ringtone was the assignment I chose to do for this week audio assignments. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it was going to be. It was really difficult picking the exact moment of the song to have a nice introduction and ending to it. Since I couldn’t find a nice break in the song to end it the way I wanted.. I did a little research and found out how to delete vocals from a song on audacity here. The tutorial was really helpful, and it allowed me to delete the vocals from the last part of the song I used as my ring tone and it just ended with instrumental music. I also had to mess around with the effects of the song and found that fading in the beginning, and fading out the ending was very beneficial to the end result. It was also very important to me to have a short ring tone because my phone is attached to my hand, so I answer it almost to quickly.
I chose Let’s Talk about Spaceships by Say Hi To Your Mom. I think this song is so cute and simple, and I actually downloaded the file into my phone and it is now my ringtone! Gooodbyeeee lame iPhone standard ring tone, Helloooooo amazingness.
