Make My Day (3 stars)
The following is the perfect day for Shadow and Caleb! I collaborated with Abigail Dunn for this assignment. We used sketched out a schedule of things they would do together and then found on the internet each picture. This was inspired by our radio show Dead Silence although the beach ending did not occur in the actual story this is to represent an alternate ending if they had not all killed themselves.
My day would start out with sleeping in (until 8am) and rising to a perfect temperature and sunny skies. I would think about some exercise – but only if it would really feel energizing and to get me started for the day’s adventures. I would want to spend some time outside in the morning before temperatures got to be too high – but with a leisurely activity like taking my camera to Monches Farms for a garden walk or going to Pewaukee Lake.
My picture perfect day would include being with family. Laughing, storytelling and catching up. And with us all together at the same time – it would of course involve having a turtle sundae! Heading on out and finding some second hand stores or antique stores to stroll through would be an afternoon activity that would lead into coming home and seeing Jaxin and Sam – maybe Teddy too for some unconditional love.
By then I would be exhausted, but in a good way. Early evening would then be some adult beverages and some elegant finger foods sitting on the deck looking at the meadow and yard as we sit and remember the day and look forward to planning the next adventure.
This week, we were tasked with completing visual assignments. The first one I completed was the “Make My Day” assignment. The instructions were: “Plan your perfect day. Use either pictures you have taken, ones you draw, or ones from another source. Outline what it would be first with a schedule and then add the pictures with more specific details of what would be occurring.”
Now to make these assignments a little more interesting, our instructors asked that we dedicate at least five of the ten stars we needed to complete to our noir character we developed last week. So this post is not MY version of a perfect day, although I honestly wouldn’t complain about being treated to these extravaganzas, but Cecilia Alva’s idea of a perfect day.

Perfect Day Schedule:
12:00PM: wake up
12:00PM-1:00PM: breakfast in bed
1:00PM-4:00PM: spa day
4:00PM-6:00PM: walk on the beach
6:00PM-8:00PM: get ready for dinner date
8:00PM-8:30PM: limo ride to restaurant
8:30PM-11:30PM: dine at five star restaurant
11:30PM-12:00AM: limo ride back home
12:00AM-1:30AM: star gaze on beach
2:00AM: Jacuzzi time
2:45AM: ;D
Now once more with feeling:
12:00PM: Wake up at noon to the sun flooding the entire room. My husband would have opened the windows while I was still sleeping so I could wake up to the site of the sun dancing on the ocean water.
12:00PM-1:00PM: He will also bring me breakfast in bed, once he hears me stirring around in the bedroom. This should include: a large espresso, orange juice, fruit, pastries, and the morning newspaper. The fireplace in the corner of the room should also be going.
1:00PM-4:00PM: We go find a little spa downtown. I get a full body massage and facial, followed by a manicure and pedicure, while James is at a lunch meeting.
4:00PM-6:00PM: I go for a long walk on the beach alone, and watch the sunset over the water.
6:00PM-8:00PM: I get ready to go out to dinner with my husband. Hopefully he would have gone out earlier in the day and bought me a new dress and matching jewelry to wear for the evening. The dress would preferably be red and tight against my body.
8:00PM-8:30PM- A limo should come to the house to pick both of us up to take us to dinner. We would pop open a bottle of champagne on the way to the restaurant.
8:30PM-11:30PM- We spend the evening at five star French restaurant. We have five courses that we enjoy over a period of several hours.
11:30PM-12:00AM: The limo picks us back up and carries us away, back to the mansion.
12:00AM-1:30AM: We are both intoxicated but decide to go walking down along the shore to gaze at the stars. It is a cool summers night and there is not a single cloud in the dark sky. Every star in the night is visible. We bring a blanket to lie down on, and he surprises me with a bottle of wine and two glasses.
2:00AM-2:45AM: We arrive back at the house and hop in the Jacuzzi.
2:45AM: Once we are clean we spend the rest of the evening engaging in certain explicit activities.

My perfect day would include having breakfast at Tropical Smoothie, going on a hike with my family and dog, having lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, helping out at an animal shelter, riding a horse, watching a movie with my boyfriend, and having dinner at Bonefish.
I would start my day off by eating breakfast at tropical smoothie. I always get a bagel with cream cheese and a peaches n’ silk smoothie which has peaches, strawberries, and bananas in it.
I would then go on a hike to Bears Den on the Appalachian trail with my family and dog. After hiking for awhile you reach an overlook and can see everything as far as the horizon, this is my favorite part of the hike and it is so beautiful.
For lunch I would go to Buffalo Wild Wings and get the honey barbeque wings with mozzarella sticks.
Next I would want to go volunteer at the Orange County Humane Society, animals are a huge passion of mine, so helping animals in need always makes me very happy and would definitely be included in my perfect day. I help out with adoptions and giving the animals exercise along with anything else they might need.
Then I would want to go horseback riding. I have ridden horses for many years and it is one of my favorite activates. It always puts me in a good mood.
Next I would want to watch a movie with my boyfriend. We always watch comedies together so we would probably watch one of the newer comedies that recently came out on demand.
Finally I would go to Bonefish Grill for dinner and get the bang bang shrimp, this is my favorite dish that they have.
In the perfect day, I would wake up early.
I would wake up my son, Ziggy.
I’d get him ready for school and take him to the bus stop. That’s his best friend Sarah.
Then I’d go to work. I love my job, but lately there have been issues with one of my workers. I can’t wait until Ziggy is old enough to work here so I can fire these idiots. Ziggy will be a great worker.
After a long day of work, I’d pick up Ziggy from school.
I’d take him to soccer practice. His team is very good and his coach is one of the best in the city of Baltimore!
After a hard soccer practice, Ziggy and I will come home and I’ll make him our favorite meal, chicken with a side of mac and cheese and some green beans.
Finally, I’d kiss him goodnight and know we get to do it all over again tomorrow!

My perfect day would be full of adventure, family, friends, and love. Getting the chance to be around people you love and overflowing with joy and happiness. Serving others, one of my favorite things to do is to serve others and love them well. Serving others can be just as simple as showing someone you care and being intentional in your relationships with them. My day would end by being thankful for the many blessings in life, and the chance to love people, and show them how loved they truly are. I love life, and just waking up in the morning and getting the opportunity to live is a perfect day to me.

This assignment really had me deep in thought. What would be my perfect day? I hit google images to try to explain to everyone what my idea of a perfect day would be….
My perfect day would begin with a view like this from my bed waking up next to my husband…
(after adult time starting a perfect day :)) We would have breakfast in bed..
Time to put on my swimsuit and head to the beach…
Can’t forget my bucket of corona.
Later after basking in the sun for most of the day and swimming, I will be ready for lunch…

While the kids build sand castles and play in the water…
After a perfect day at the beach, it’s pizza and movie for the kids while my husband and I head out for dinner and dancing.
After the kids are asleep, Time to end the perfect day with more not PG adult time in our own suite…

For this assignment, I get to demonstrate what my perfect day is! I loved this assignment because it allowed to just daydream about my ideal day. This was actually very hard to think about, there were so many options!

My dog absolutely loves to come in and sit on my face when I am home to tell me wake up. She is so spoiled, I absolutely love waking up to such cheery faces.
Favorite Breakfast
My absolute two favorite things in the morning are crepes or pancakes, they both are just so delicious! You can never go wrong with them.
Hike
In Indiana, the State Dune Park, there are these amazing dunes, which are just basically huge mounds of sand to climb. Over Thanksgiving Break last year, we went on a hike there, it was just an absolutely breathtaking view.
Driving my dogs
So.. my dogs are my babies, I am wrapped around their finger! They know whenever I grab my keys to run straight to the car and I can never say no to them! We go byebye at least 4 times a week.. One just will not go back inside until she goes, so sometimes I’d trick them by just going down the street.
Favorite Dinner
Grilled cheese is the best meal ever! Plus, it fits in with a college budget!
