This is my favorite picture of Waddles. I was taking him to practice on the first day of practice and it was the first day of spring. I loved the way the flowers looked beautiful and blooming, i had to take a picture. Assignment Value two stars **.

Traveling with the Doctor

This summer, while searching for jobs and spending a ton of time watching netflix, I discovered Doctor Who (which is why it’s being featured in many of my assignments this year in DS106 and not last year). This past  autumn I bought a crocheted version of the Eleventh Doctor, (I also bought the Tenth Doctor for a friend).
Seeing as the Doctor, in the show, goes on adventures in his time traveling police call box, I took him on mine.

We went to Valley Forge
He hung out on a cannon and on a bunk.
I went to New York and December and we traveled by train which is a very slow travel method for someone who can cross all time and space.

He did enjoy Times Square though.

We were going to go on more adventures but I ran into two problems. 1. My next plan was to go to Gettysburg but it got quite cold, plus I was working more during the holiday season. and 2. I went home for Christmas and left him there, whoops.

Also because I like making things I made a  TARDIS (the time traveling police call box) to put my friend’s gift in for Christmas. Whiiiich  I will be uploading later since my phone is refusing to e-mail the picture to myself.

Baby Bear’s Adventure

For the Visual Assignment, Buddy Photo, I brought Baby Bear with me today and took pictures of the various places we went. In the top left, Baby Bear and I were walking to class in the rain. The next three pictures are in my first two classes. Baby Bear is very studious. You can also [...]

My Michelin Man

I carried my Michelin Man buddy with me for a month or so in 2008. It was sheer coincidence that I happened to travel to coastal Victoria during that time. I was probably inspired to take ‘buddy photos’ after hearing about the infamous travelling gnome prank. My Michelin Man buddy photos first appeared on my Greetings from… Flickr stream.

Visual Assignment

I took my Hal Jordan Green Lantern action figure out to downtown Fredericksburg with my friend David.

This GL figure is from the Blackest Night series.

There’s way too many shots to post on this single entry.  You can find the set here.

Nanner goes to NY with me :)

I did the visual assignment of taking a buddy with you everywhere you go and I choose this one because this weekend I went to New York so it was  lot of fun to photograph Nanner everywhere I went.  Unforunately Nanner is not with us anymore but he sure was a great companion for 4 days :)  To view all the pictures and details click on the first one and you will see a slide show :) ENJOY and tell me what you think :)

Adventures with Little Cthulhu

My days, by and large a pretty busy. But today, as part of anagahama visual assignment, I brought a little “buddy” around with me to document my day. anagahama may have been thinking of something else, but I had fun taking pictures of Little Cthulhu* in the various places I live and work. And, as compromise of sorts this will count for a “design” assignment** because I don’t do design.*** So here’s the adventures of Little Cthulhu.

*Purchased at a comic bookstore in York, England about a year ago.
**Or at least I’m hoping Over Lord Jim will allow for this compromise.
***And at this point Over Lord Jim says “No! You must stretch yourself in uncomfortable ways!” and I mumble something and do a real design assignment.
