“Put Obama into your favorite movie!” (2 points)
As we know from this post, one of Ava’s favorite movies is Strangers on a Train.
Just some good clean fun with Obama’s face. I’m sure he wouldn’t have it any other way. Not one of Dave Chappelle’s best movies in my mind, but he is always entertaining. I edited this in GIMP using the lasso tool and it fit right in. Almost too well.
Here is a link to the assignment.
Difficulty: 2 stars
This picture from the movie Bridesmaids is funny on its own and then add Obama… every time I see it I laugh. Bridesmaids is one of my favorite movies. Im not sure if you noticed the theme of most of my GIFs and pic. I have an obsession with NBC and the stars of SNL. First I found a picture from Bridesmaids. I knew exactly which scene i wanted so it was pretty easy, Then I looked through millions of Obama pics. The assignment was to put obama in a pic from your favorite movie. Once I found the two pictures merged them using the same online software that I used for my santa picture. I actually forgot how to do it and had to ask for help from my teacher. So after I cut obama out of his picture I had to make another layer on the bridesmaids pic and import the obama pic. After that I resized obama erased his shoulder and put him in place.
Just for fun, even though I’ve already done my 10 stars worth of Visual Assignments for the week, I decided to Obama-tize some photos. Specifically, some photos from Lord of the Rings. Because, hey, these assignments are fun, LotR is awesome (even though it isn’t the greatest film of all time, American Beauty, but you’ve heard my thoughts on that before), and Obama is awesome. So here they are:
I’m particularly proud of the second one. I really relied on my Photoshop skillz for that picture. What you see is the product of: masking, noise addition, Gaussian blur, pixel-selection-based curves manipulation, and brightness, over-exposure and a lens flare applied only to specific areas of Obama’s hair and hands to help him blend into the scene. You’d believe he was really there, right? (Okay, I can’t pretend my skills are actually that good. But a girl can dream.)
