Ghosts From ds106 Past (3 stars)

For this assignment we were told to go back on any of the social media websites and search #ds106 and recreate a post from the past. I decided to go on instagram and search back on past ds106 assignments. I found an assignment of a cool sunset over a body of water and decided to recreate that, because I have taken some cool sunset pictures as well (in my opinion). The picture I chose was a picture I had taken from the roof of the house that I stayed at while vacationing in California over winter break. Hope you guys enjoy!

My first assignment from the assignment bank was ghosts of ds106 past. I went onto Instagram and typed in #ds106 and found someone that put a reflection of an object into an eyeball. I thought that would be fun to do, so I tried it out myself!

It was harder than I thought it would be, so I put a little heart into the black part of the eye.

For this assignment I searched #ds106 on instagram. I found a superimposed superman on an eyeball. I thought it was a cool concept so I tried to do the same but with my Shadow Leopard character:

The eye belongs to a villain right as the “Legendary Leopard” prepares to attack!

For this assignment I hand to go through the history of DS106 and find an old assignment that I could redo and make my own. I decided to go with the assignment “Love is Something You Can’t Live a Day Without” from the DS106 fall 2016 course. I first found this assignment by googling #ds106 and then going through the assignments from previous semesters. I picked this one in particular because I liked the message that is conveyed.

I was able to turn this assignment into my own by adding a video of myself and local kids that I coach on the local USA Swim Team the RAYS. I am very passionate about swimming (I was once a former college swimmer) and the kids that I coach. What this video is, is me diving into the pool wearing a tutu and clothes because I lost a bet with one of the kids. I told him that if he went a particular time in one of his events I would do something silly, and this is what he chose as my punishment.

I love my job and I love the sport of swimming. I hope you enjoy this video and get a good chuckle out of it!
