Your Character’s Past

My Character’s Past

My host character is a fourteen year old boy. Unfortunately, he is chronically online, and he has been for a really long time. Ever since he got his first laptop at the age of five, and his first phone at the age of seven, his unrestricted access to the internet has ruined his perception on society. His childhood is fine in regards to the way his parents treat him. They’re not abusive, or overprotective, they just kind of let him be.

He’s much too grown for his age in all the wrong ways. After encountering 4Chan at the ripe age of 12, you can imagine how much damage that might do to a child’s brain. He has become indescribably malicious, a child full of hatred and disgust for all things his age. All the decisions he made of encountering evil strangers on the internet has entirely warped his poor little mind, and now he is cursed with the memories of many, many things that he should not have seen at his age. Of course, he has become extremely desensitized.

This is the power of the internet. More specifically, the power of unrestricted access to the internet. Now, he spends most of his days reading passages of random books to odd strangers he finds on 8Chan online in exchange for fractions of bitcoin (which, mind you, is still a lot). He realizes the sheer amount of power that he has been given, how valuable his young age is to warped individuals online, and how he can use them to his benefit.

And his parents will never know.

The Only Pet Rock

My hosts have given me so many names through the centuries that I am unable to remember them all. The only one that has stuck was given to me by an Italian fellow by the name Leonardo. He stared at me for a long, long time before finally naming me Piccola Pietra. I do not know what I am or where I came from, only that I have been around for at least as long as the humans. One minute I was nothing, then I was something. My first memory of self-awareness didn’t come for what seemed like an eternity later, but perhaps it is just to difficult to remember the beginning. Though I do not eat, I do still require a source of energy like humans do. The biggest difference being that humans are my current source of energy. I do not feed on them, but on their ideas. Unlike them I do not have arms or legs to move, and no mouth to speak, but many would trade everything for what I possess, an abundance of time. Their entire lives pass by in what seems like a short moment to me. There seems to be a mutually beneficial effect when I stay in close proximity to their kind. They find inspiration and creativity from me, and in turn I may feed on that energy that they do not seem to perceive. As time flows, movement is out of my control. I pass from person to person across the ages. All I can do is hope that my next host is more creative than the last, but I realize not everyone can do as Leonardo during his time. I just hope to avoid dark times where I’m low on energy. This was especially the case while I was with a man named Gary Dahl. In the time we spent together, the best idea he could devise was to release a toy as a pet in my likeness. Although it gained short term popularity, it had the unfortunate quality of also looking like a plain rock. He couldn’t even come up with a clever name for it. My hopes have been high in the few years since. My time with the next host, Mr. Lennon, was very beneficial but was unfortunately cut short. I wound up in the hands of a uniquely talented young man by the name of Michael Jackson for a time after that. I have been enjoying my time with him, but I have recently discovered that he plans to send me somewhere as a gift. I am unsure if I am a gift to another or if I am being sent as a gift, but the outcome seems promising. It seems that the man I am to be given to plans to bring me with him on his mission to a place even I have not been, space. We will be setting off on a device referred to as the Challenger, for it’s tenth flight. Perhaps in leaving this planet, I will be able to find others like myself.

The prompt for my science/historical fiction short story was to tell the backstory and history of a “host” character that I have created and follow for ds106. Although I do not have a host character to base this on, the prompt was thought provoking enough that I still wanted to complete it, but with a character that has “hosts” instead. You may say he is just a rock, but that would simply mean you do not understand his ways. To connect with the theme of 80’s pop culture, I decided to briefly explain Piccola Pietra’s backstory and ways of influencing the world without it knowing, with more focus on his “recent” times that take place in the early to mid 80’s.

CLASSIFIED INFORMATION — WISTERIA (Assignment Bank #6)

Your Character’s Past

If you’ve been a part of DS106 for at least a few weeks, you’ve probably already thought of and created a host character that you will be following around for the remainder of the semester. There are already a lot of assignments that deal with your character, but for this assignment, you need to explain how your character grew up, and what made them the way they are today. Did they have a happy or sad childhood? What decisions in life led them up to the point they are at now? Just give us some more detailed background on your character, and make it be worth at least 3 stars.

TOP SECRET INFORMATION — DO NOT RELEASE

Jasmine Fujioka was born in May of 1971 to Inoue and Takashi Fujioka, both farmers who sold their produce and meats at weekly markets. Jasmine grew up an only child in a small, isolated, and tight-knit agricultural community. Her town in [REDACTED], as of the date of her birth, had a national census of around 100 residents, making it one of the smallest areas in the district.

As an only child, Jasmine took on much of the responsibilities of the farm as soon as she was able. Her childhood was rough, but not entirely coarse. It’s reported that Jasmine’s relationship with her mother was strained, but her relationship with her father was stronger than average. Takashi notably often took his daughter hunting with him, teaching her how to handle firearms at a very young age, and nurturing her early talents in shooting. The cause of the strain between Jasmine and her mother is unknown as of the date of this documentation, but it is rumored it may be because of [REDACTED].

Jasmine’s childhood was full of death. A talented shot, Jasmine took on the responsibility of putting down cattle, among other farm-animals that were to be slaughtered for food. By her own report, Jasmine showed little hesitation in the dispatching of life. Desensitized by her father, the young girl only further bolstered her skills with firearms, practicing in the woods and on the animals she was to end. She practiced humane ways of killing, swift shots that would reduce suffering. Around the small town, she became known as someone to be relied on for difficult decisions regarding a family pet, or a rabid animal. However, Jasmine, by her own report, “wasn’t precisely popular” with kids her age due to her unfortunate role.

Takashi Fujioka instilled in his daughter principles of responsibility. From a young age, Jasmine’s father would tell her stories of justice and crime, of her uncle (Satou Fujioka), who had left the farm after their parents passing to become a cop. Takashi taught Jasmine that if no responsibility was being taken in a situation, she would have to do something. If a task wasn’t being done, she would need to do it. If someone was being picked on, she would have to stand up for them. Jasmine took these principles to heart, and with her naturally valiant personality, she became a tough and hardened girl with no qualms in getting herself into trouble. Often times, in her small school, she would get into fights with older bullies, and be taken to the principals office to be reprimanded. She would put herself into dangers for the sake of others, because she knew that if she didn’t–who would?

By Jasmine’s own report, “in healthy doses, that type of talk is fine. It’s only when you begin to OD do you realize you’re crashing.”

During [REDACTED], a serial arsonist began to terrorize the small farm town–burning the yields and homes of innocents while they slept in their beds. The Fujioka’s were one of the first homes hit by the attacks. Jasmine was 16 years old at the time. She and her mother escaped their burning home, but Jasmine’s father was injured and badly burned during the incident. As of [REDACTED], he was still on disability, (before passing away in [REDCATED]). This incident, by Jasmine’s own admittance, seemed to be a catalyst for her behavior that followed the burning. With her father bedridden, and her family’s livelihood up in flames, Jasmine realized in the ashes of her home that — by her own admission — this criminal wasn’t going to stop on their own. She began to “epistilize” her fathers words; her fathers teachings. She followed them, in her own words, “like a holy mission from the Gods.”

In a two year spree, Jasmine [REDACTED]. She began with the arsonist that had torched her farm and many others, [REDACTED]. Following that incident, crime and hooliganism across town fell dramatically due to her actions. Jasmine policed the streets, [REDACTED] anyone that [REDACTED]. The district police force for the town was noticeably hands-off, and with their laziness, Jasmine continued to operate under their languid radars, continuing to [REDACTED] until one fateful night in which she took her skills too far, and her morals beyond the edge of reason.

Following her arrest and discovery by the agency, Jasmine was processed and held on the behalf of the Specialized Defenses of New Earth (SDONE) on the behest of Agent [REDACTED] and their contacts in the Holloway City Police Department. Jasmine began working for the SDONE following a plea-deal with the authorities, and since that time, she has been shaped into a model agent.

Much information in this document has been redacted out of request by and respect for Jasmine Fujioka herself. A more detailed transcript of her history may emerge from the SDONE records at a later time, following the creation of this file. No information in this file or others is to be leaked to the public at any time.

BEHIND THE SCENES

I chose this particular assignment from the assignment bank because I will waste no time developing and talking about a new character. Character creation is one of my favorite things in the world, and I very much enjoy the opportunity to develop stories, plots, characters and more through writing. Not only could I tie this prompt to the secret agent theme of this semester, but I could use it to further develop this new character of mine, and shape her for future projects.

MAKING OF THE ASSIGNMENT

— Brainstormed briefly on how to format the assignment, and looked back on previous notes regarding Wisteria’s/Jasmine’s backstory.

— Wrote down the information, writing directly into the textbox of WordPress for this assignment.

That’s really all there was to it! It was a fun, easy assignment that I wouldn’t have qualms with doing again. Thank you for the opportunity!

Nora’s past

As you all know from my introduction post about Nora, she is a teenager in high school. What you all don’t know is how she became the Nora she is today…

Nora was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2002 to parents Kim and Keith Bendenova. She was the littlest thing you’ve ever seen at 7 lbs. and 2 oz. with her blonde hair and blue eyes. Her parents, still married at the time, couldn’t have been happier. A few years down the road, Nora started Kindergarten. Her parents were blind to it, but her teacher, Ms. DD, noticed something oddly different about Nora. Despite being the smallest and shortest kid in her class, she was much stronger and faster than all the other kids in her school. Ms. DD held on to her discoveries about Nora and continued to observe her peculiar ways. At the end of the year, Ms. DD decided she would teach 1st grade so she could have Nora in class again. As she suspected, her peculiar ways grew more peculiar. However, what also started growing more was how much Nora showed her emotions. She cried a little more than last year at sad things and would bounce off the walls when she got excited.

Ms. DD followed Nora and her class all the way through 5th grade, where at the end they had to part ways. Ms. DD had a hunch as to why she believed Nora had all these super-power like qualities, but she again kept it to herself. She also wasn’t sure which parent to talk to about it because Kim and Keith decided to split up while Nora was in 4th grade (and yes, the emotions were in full gear then). Both parents seem much happier now. They make and effort to get along in front of Nora, which in turn makes her happier.

The middle school years are where Nora really begins to notice her super powers…she was bullied a few times because of her size. A couple girls were also very jealous of her, but she couldn’t figure out why. One day, she was walking in the hall way at school when on of the known bullies bumps into her on purpose and knocks her down. This infuriated Nora, so she got up and shoved the girl all the way to the other end of the 30 foot hallway. The bully never messed with Nora again. However, Nora couldn’t believe what she had just done or how she did it. She went home to her mom’s house and told her about it. She didn’t really believe her, but went along with the story. She called to tell her dad, who now lives in Georgia, and he was extremely alarmed. He flew back down to BR and they took her to her doctor…and then another…and then another…and got the same result every time: “There is nothing wrong with your daughter, she is just extremely strong for her age,”. So they went home and tried to make the best out of an extremely confusing situation.

High school was much different until this current year. She became more aware of what her “powers” are and how she can use them. She started doing heavy lifting and making quick errands for the elderly. She could help victims in a car crash by flying them to the nearest hospital. She did so much for the city of BR that they called her their friendly city super hero. She didn’t change anything about her life. She still goes to high school, she still cheers, still strives for straight A’s. It’s easy to see how other girls would be jealous of her.

She is enjoying her life now. Her father moved back to BR, so he could be closer to her. She loves being a super hero, but more importantly, she loves being able to take care of the place she calls “home”.

Meeting Evelyn Sparrow

Evelyn Sparrow was just a girl that grew up being defined by her last name, her parents’ name. They had been well known in the small town she was taken to at 15 years old. It was just a town over from where she was born, but they all knew. They all knew who her parents were. They had been liars and thieves their whole lives.

It all came crashing down on the day before her 15th birthday.

There had been cops at her house and her parents were telling her, “It will all be okay.”

She couldn’t believe them though. Not as they were being dragged out of the house for multiple bank robberies.

And murder.

She can only faintly remember what happened after they had been taken away. There was a blonde cop. Her hair had been pulled back into a tight bun and her green eyes had been hard as she sat her down on the couch. The cop was trying to ask her questions and explain what will happen now, but she couldn’t hear her anymore. Evelyn was overwhelmed with what was happening. She could only repeat what her parents told her to say to those who asked. She could only put on the mask she had learned to keep since she was four.

She had been told to say she knew nothing. That she hadn’t known what her parents had been doing all this time.

She had known everything.

Her parents taught her well.

Her foster parents hadn’t interacted with her much. Evelyn had been told they were relatives on her mother’s side, but how they were related had been lost on her. They had only taken her in out of obligation and pity, but that was fine by Evelyn. She only needed a place to stay before she could move onto a place for herself.

At 21 years old now, she was no longer defined by her last name. No one knew who she was here, but she still held fast to the masks she kept locked away in the back of her head. She knew what to say, how to look, what to do to make people like and trust her. She knew how to get what she wanted.

Her parents taught her well.

On Friday nights she was the drummer for an alt-rock cover band where she would perform on college campuses and bars. During the week days, she worked at the library on campus to pay for the tuition, textbooks, and residence. This was only temporary. She listened to all the rumors and the news across campus and the town that she lived in. She knew who sold fake licenses, who would let her stay with them (no questions asked), and the best places to hide while on the run.

She stored this information waiting for the day when she would need it.

Her parents taught her well.

The Making of Evelyn Sparrow

This is just a little background information on how I created Evelyn Sparrow. I really enjoy making characters up and figuring out what their names will be. It was interesting to have the topic of an apocalypse in this case since it would make a character I hadn’t thought of before.

Her role in a group is a bit unclear because she is the type to change her personality to fit where she can. She would avoid being a leader, or any important person in a group, at all costs though. She will try to be someone that seems to be needed, but if she were to run when things started getting dangerous, she wouldn’t be missed too much.

In this case she would use her knowledge of things to help the group out, but she would also keep a lot of it to herself. She would only ever aid the group when needed. She’s not much of a lone wolf though as she understands she needs people, or a group, to survive.

Whatever role the group needs, she will be.

(I also like the thought of her becoming attached to a group without her realizing it until it’s too late.)

I liked making her because I was looking up name meanings that would fit best in this case.  I decided to do names related to birds.

Evelyn is a Celtic name meaning “life, or giver of life”, or Evelyn is an English name meaning “wished for”. For her character, I’m going more towards the English meaning, but it would be interesting to see if she ends up being more of the Celtic meaning.

Sparrow is a bird with a very positive meaning. I found this really ironic considering she thinks of it in a negative way since it has only brought her bad things. A sparrow is seen as a sweet and gentle bird. It is a symbol of hope and renewal, or rejuvenation. It is also a symbol of companionship and intelligence. I think these will be seen as our story of The End will continue.

(And, no, she is not related to Captain Jack Sparrow)

Who is Charlee Faraday?

Charlee Faraday is a combination of the Lone Wolf and the Neutral Character. She prefers spending time alone, finding her time is most productive and beneficial that way. She also is okay going with whatever situation is given to her, as long as she has a direction she plans on going.

In school, Charlee had a hard time forming bonds that would last beyond the school atmosphere. Often, she wasn’t taken seriously, especially when it always looked as if she was content (her lips naturally curve upward). More so, she couldn’t exactly blend in with the crowd. She has always been tall for her age, and her full height ending up being 5’10”. Along with her height, her prominent voice was an attention-getter. Her low participation in class was only countered by her willingness to read out loud whenever she could.

Her mom always read stories to Charlee out loud, so much that when Charlee had to start reading on her own, she felt let down. When she could, Charlee would read aloud to herself, since it felt more natural to have the words be spoken and not simply read.

Her dream is to become an audiobook narrator, but she needs the funds to afford equipment. A lot of the money she gets goes straight into bills: as soon as she graduated high school her parents made her start paying rent and utilities. She doesn’t have her own car and is also putting money away for one.

She found her sole friends through her town’s local fencing club, which is just up the road from her house. Most of the people there were at least a couple years older than Charlee, but she didn’t let that stand in her way. She easily became the Most Improved member, with the help of the assistant instructor, Freya. In her thirties, Freya saw Charlee’s potential. Even though the girl didn’t like opening up to teammates, she put her whole into everything she did, and Freya wanted to expand that. Freya also offered Charlee a job at the the local art and hobby supplies store she worked at. This is also convenient for Charlee since it is just small distance from the fencing building, both of which are a good walk from her house.

Once Charlee graduated from high school, she moved from part time to full time. She did many things across the store, such as restocking the shelves, creating and building displays, and even doing repairs to the aging building. She enjoys working alone or with just one or two other employees. She herself doesn’t realize how much she valued the relationships she and her coworkers had, it being a tight-knit community. Especially important is the older owner of the store, Mabel (who happily works through retirement) and Freya, whom Charlee feels is like an older sister of sorts. Besides those close to her, however, Charlee generally acts apathetically to others.

All About Me

*My character is going off the archetype “Midwife: survivalist, feminist, quick-witted, perceptive”.

My name is Felicity Simone Cixous Jones. A mouthful, huh? You can just call me Flick, that’s what my friends call me. My mom had the grand idea of giving me names after feminists icons, but instead of just choosing one she chose two. Simone De Beauvoir was one of the founders of modern feminism and Helene Cixous was a novelist most well known for exploring the subconscious and bisexuality.

I think it’s kind of cool to be named after such bad-ass feminist icons, but I think my mom just gave me those names to feel better about being a single mom. She wanted a kid, but didn’t want to commit to a man, so she just got knocked up and then here I was. Not as cool of story now that I’m saying it out loud.

Any who, my childhood was pretty fun. Mom and I did everything together, she is my best friend. She homeschooled me my whole life until college which was awesome because I didn’t have to learn all of the stupid things my friends learned in public school like Trigonometry. I got to learn about political movements, take field trips to museums, and learn various life skills.

For such a feminist like my mother, you wouldn’t think she would have encouraged me to learn how to cook, clean, and garden- but she did. I was raised as a vegetarian. I’ve only ever had meat one time at a birthday party when I was mad at my mom and ate a hot dog. It made me sick so I’ve stayed far away ever since. All of the things we ate pretty much came from our garden or from the farmers market in our community. It was really fun and interesting to eat sustainably my whole life, but it made it so I was in for a very rude awakening when I decided to move to New York City for college.

My senior year of “high school”, I decided I wanted a change. Don’t get me wrong, I loved growing up in a small town and loved being friends with everyone in the community, but it got a little old after a while. So, I applied to NYU and got accepted. I left home thinking my mom had prepared me for everything I ever needed to know, but I was very wrong.

The city always has this weird odor, like garbage burning in the distance or something. There’s organic food, but only sold at food chains like Whole Foods for a huge up-charge. I tried to start a small garden outside of the window of my dorm room, but it was no use. The most I could grow was a few herbs that died off quickly in the snow.

I had become vegan 3 years before going to college, and it was easy at home. However, my NYU meal plan is hardly vegan friendly and I had to give it up. I tried to keep it up for as long as possible but it was too expensive in such a pricey city.

I’m still working out how to navigate city life and I’ve been here almost 3 years. It just doesn’t seem to come to me like it comes to everyone else. I thought about leaving, giving up on my Sociology degree and working in my hometown where I knew everything so well, but I want to challenge myself. I want to learn life from a new perspective, I want to meet all kinds of new people, I want to live in a way I just can’t at home.

Still, though, nothing beats going home to see mom. She doesn’t have a cellphone because she thinks they emit too much radiation and they’re dangerous, so we don’t talk much. We write letters, which is cool, I guess. My friends tease me about the fact that my mom is insistent on writing letters instead of buying a cellphone to call me but I think it gives our relationship character.

I miss her so much.

Character’s Past: Joan Williams

Joan Williams was born April 15, 1995 in Harrisonburg, VA. She grew up on her family’s farm. So once she was old enough to help out on the farm she would get up at 4AM milk the cows, clean the chicken coops and clean the horses cages. She did all of that before she went to school. She also liked to hunt in her free time or shoot some hoops.

She went to the local high school Jefferson High, she really wanted to be on the basketball team, she even tried out her freshman year and made the team but her parents needed her to work on the farm and her side job to get money for the family. Joan also worked as a paralegal at a local law office in Harrisonburg. She loved studying about the law and it paid really well but every paycheck she had to give to her parents. She grew up watching Law and Order everyday

She was great in school, straight A’s every year in highschool so her senior year she applied to college at JMU, it was right down the street from her house so she would not even have to pay room and board. Well she got in and that money she gave to her parents every week, they were secretly saving it for her college and FASFA gave her all the money she needed.

She is currently a senior at JMU still doing her chores on the farm before school and works with girls scouts, she has changed the girls scouts so it’s more like the boy scouts so they learn how to survive in the woods and all.

She is graduating this year with a law degree and has already 3 job offers.

Joan grew up having to be a hard worker and had to earn everything she has.

Introducing… Dr. Annalise Huddleston

Annalise Huddleston was born on June 11th, 1988 in Seattle, Washington. She grew up with two older brothers and one younger sister. Her mom and dad always had their hands full, that’s for sure. She loved dolls and all the toys you would think all little girls love. She had plenty of toys, but she could never hold back the urge to ask her mom for a new Barbie when they went to the store.

One day, she was watching TV, and one of her favorite shows was on, Sesame Street, and one of the many characters was pretending to be a doctor. She loved watching how the character pretended to take the other character’s temperature, reflexes, and more. The next time she went to the toy store with her mom, she asked for a toy doctor’s bag. She finally found one, and inside were plastic doctor instruments such as a stethoscope, thermometer, reflex hammer, and syringe. For the next few months, Annalise would play doctor with her dolls, and then moved on to trying to give her brothers, sister, and parents a “check-up.” She loved it.

When Annalise went off to college, she knew that she wanted to study medicine and become a doctor of her own. She had started watching the new hit show, Grey’s Anatomy, and realized she wanted to be just like Meredith Grey.

Throughout college, she studied hard and kept her grades up. At moments, her dream of becoming a doctor wavered and she thought about giving up on her dream. However, after her summer break after her sophomore year, she knew this was still what she wanted. A few short years later, she graduated from medical school and began her life as a doctor, with a focus on oncology!

Anna is now almost thirty-years-old and has a husband and two kids, a boy and a girl. She continues to work as a doctor, and she loves her job. Of course, she has learned how to make time for her family because being a doctor takes a lotof time and work. She has saved lives, lost patients, and experienced the emotions for each of these things. Cancer sucks, and she has to deal with it everyday through her career. A few years ago, her mom had a cancer scare, but they luckily caught it early, and got rid of it! However, Annalise lives in fear of getting a call or looking at the door of the oncology center and seeing any of her loved ones walking through the door. Thankfully, however, this has not happened quite yet, with the exception of her mother. She hopes someday, though, that through the help of science and her colleagues that they will reach a cure for cancer, or at least a better treatment that chemo or radiation. She has a great passion for life and her family, and never wants to lose either of these!

Let’s see where the End takes her!

BEHIND THE SCENES OF THIS CHARACTER:

I chose Annalise’s name by going to a random name generator website, and hitting the refresh button until I saw a name that I really liked, Annalise Huddleston! I don’t know if there are any Annalise Huddlestons out there, but if you are one of them and reading this, then welcome! I then decided I wanted to give a long backstory for her to make her seem more human rather than someone who is completely made up, which she is, in my mind. When we had to come up with a character for the Archetype assignment, I knew I wanted to come up with a character who would be a nurse or a doctor, who would be able to possibly prevent or help out with the version of the apocalypse in which the world ends through a plague or other kind of disease. Also, when I was writing this, I went to a random city generator, and picked Seattle! However, even though I did know I wanted Annalise to be some kind of doctor/nurse, I totally didn’t think about the fact that Grey’s Anatomy (one of my favorite shows) takes place in Seattle! I think it all works out pretty great, though! So just to clarify, I did not purposefully put Annalise in Seattle so that it could be my own spin-off version of Grey’s Anatomy. However, after realizing this fact, I wanted to make sure that Annalise is known to watch this famous TV show. I also made her birthday be on June 11th because this was my mom’s birthday. Also, it is fitting that Annalise was “born” on this day and is now an oncologist because my mom actually passed away from cervical cancer back in 2009. Perfect, right? An oncologist, who will hopefully find the cure to cancer, born on my mom’s birthday. (However, my mom was not born in 1988. She was born in the late 50s.)

I’m very excited to continue writing about Annalise Huddleston, and I hope you will join me on the journey too!

Story Behind Marcus Hodges…

My character’s name is Marcus Hodges, and has a history for not following directions and creating his own rules at almost any cost. He was always the smartest one in every school he attended, so he became bored with the standard way things took place. He had a knack for creating drama in some way, shape, or form. He believed heavily in the art of deception or persuasion. He would often act certain ways to get people to do things for him. He used his witty personality and charm to get what he wanted in life. He didn’t care who became hurt in the process of getting what he wanted because he felt that people didn’t care about his well-being.

Growing up he was what most would call a “mama’s boy”. His mother was his pride and joy, she also seemed to be the only person that showed him the love and attention that he craved deep down. At the age of 9, his mother disappeared without a trace. She left him with his step-father, who was just as confused as the son was regarding her absence. Every Sunday morning for 7 months they would go looking for his mother until his step-father eventually gave up. Marcus never wanted to give up until he had an answer, but the hope he once had began to turn into malice towards everyone. Marcus became the selfish, deceiptful individual that he is today. Marcus is now 23 years old and owns his own business in film and advertisement. He’s been recognized as the type of boss that sells dreams to his clients and goes back on his word depending on how it benefits himself.

This is who he is before “The End” comes.
