Holiday Mashup~

For this assignment, for 4.5 stars, I did the Holiday Mashup. We were to mash three holidays together into one photo. For mine, I decided to choose the 3 holidays that we have/will be celebrating over this semester. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. These are also my favorites. For the assignment, I used Pixlr which I had never used before, but it’s actually surprisingly very user friendly. I decided to do cartoons as everything so that it would be more uniform. For each image, I found a Turkey, a Santa hat, and a jack-o-lantern to represent the three holidays. From there, I reorganized them and cut out the backgrounds so that it would look good together. All in all, this was a very very fun assignment and definitely one of my favorites. I also enjoyed learning a new platform to photoshop on!

Holiday Tutorial

For this assignment, I started to think about my favorite holidays. I decided that my favorite holidays were Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. You can use any photo editing website or app. I used the Photoshop Fix app to create the assignment. I decided to use a Christmas tree, turkey, and Easter eggs. I found pictures on google and then cutout each picture.

It was very easy to cut out the pictures. I then placed them around the tree. I made the Easter eggs look like presents and ornaments on the tree.

I then cut the star out of the tree to be able to add the turkey to the tree.

I made final arrangements for everything and then saved the image and uploaded it to the site.

The final product.

Have a Merry Scary Thanksgiving

For my second mashup assignment of the week, I decided to complete the Holiday Mashup. To complete it, I was to choose three holidays and put them in a photo together. I decided to choose, Halloween, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. My idea was to find Jack Skellington wearing the Santa Clause outfit and to put him at a Thanksgiving Dinner table. To begin, I looked for photos online on Google. Then, once I found photos that I thought would work well together, I used Photo Editor PixelStyle to put the photos together to make one photo. Then, I embedded the image below.

“Holiday Mashup!”

For this assignment I used a photo editing software like Fotoflexer.com to mashup up three of my top favorite holidays and cultural celebrations. My three favorite holidays include, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentines Day. All of three holidays are my favorite holidays, because you get to spread love tp people who care about or need to feel cared about to feel appreciated.. For this assignment I can use whatever elements I like from each holiday and create a character or scene with the images/symbols that I chosen. Also, I can tell a story behind this character or image that I chosen. Hope you enjoy!

Here’s my Mashup!

Combine all three holidays and you get all the love in one box. Get all three holidays and you get Thankchristentine!
