Money. Money runs the world. BUT so girls, specifically women, specifically Beyonce.

For this assignment, to mess around with money, I decided to replace the white man currently on the bill with someone more relevant, more prophetic…Beyoncé! I used Photoshop to remove the original face, but keep the same frame. I also downloaded a money texture to get the pattern overlay right. I then made the oval a clipping mask and added in this beautiful picture of Beyoncé. I adjusted her as a I saw fit and now we have money that actually means something. I would tie this into our theme because Beyoncé brings me joy, she is an old friend of mine.

Step 1: Come up with an idea! Do you want to paste another person on the currency? Do you want to distort the image already on the money? Do you want to draw, or use software to complete this assignment? THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

Step 2: Find an image to use as your base. I had issues with uploading images of currency to Photoshop, so I had to use an image of a fake dollar bill.

Step 3: Photoshopping out parts you do not want. For my photo, I used the erase function on Photoshop to remove parts I did not want to be in my final image. I then, in a different frame, recolored the image that I wanted to place on the money to appear the same. There are a bunch of effects available on Photoshop, so play around with them and see what works best!

Step 4: Merge the images. Right click on one of the images and find the “duplicate layer” button. Click on that and add the image to the other Photoshop frame.

Step 5: Re-position. Use the move tool, and place your overlay picture on the original photo of the money and tah dah! You have a new type of currency.
