Picking a song for this assignment was not easy! There are so many different songs. I picked a song that I just recently heard someone else playing outside. Good luck guessing! The answer will be posted in my weekly summary(:

I picked a song and converted it to MP3, then uploaded it into audacity. I just looked at all the tabs to see if anything would simply say reverse. Turns out there was! Under the effects tab, there was reverse, I clicked it and it did all the work for me!

This audio assignment was pretty simple once I got my bearings with audacity. I had to close and reopen the program because it did not cooperate the first time around. Below is a popular song by a female artist that was and is on the radio quite a bit. This song in particular has been popular over the past couple of months. It would be categorized as a song about love / relationships. Those are your only three hints, so try and guess this tune!
Can you guess the song? Its by a member of New Edition. It’s from 1989. Title is pets elttil yrevE
I tried to choose a song that everyone in the class would know. It was kind of popular and some might even say it was overplayed on the radio. This assignment was really fun and I’m glad I had the chance to do it. Hope you guys have fun trying to find out what song it is.
Hint 1: The name of the band is a pronoun given to a person who is riding along…
Hint 2: The song is a good piece of advice to men who are in relationships…
Hint 3: The song has a folk sound and the singer’s voice is kind of funky (In the good way)…
Hope you guys don’t rack your brain too much. Have Fun!!!
Oooh what a fun assignment! My job was to take a clip from a popular song, reverse it, and then post here to see if anyone can guess it! Thankfully Audacity has a nice and simple “Reverse” effect that served this assignment perfectly. I just chose this song because it’s known by most people so most can guess it, and it was just the first thing that popped into my head! To be fair, I will give 3 clues.
1. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT about a man watching someone drown
2. 1981 hit single in the UK
3. DOOO DO DOOO DOO DOO DOOO DO DO DOO DOO
Difficulty Rating: 3.5 stars
As Chris Rene once said, “Got to love life”. Right now, I’ve been trying to use audacity again after having trouble with it in the past for some of my school projects. Now, it seems so simple! I decided to do Reverse Audio Quiz. To do this assignment, I downloaded Audacity (Thank you Professor Groom for that!) and then imported an MP3 file of the music into Audacity after I got Audacity to be downloaded. I then went to effects and clicked “Reverse”. It’s pretty simple to do it. I’ll be honest, some people heard of this song and other people have never heard this song. Around my high school before I graduated, this song was pretty commonly heard. So let me give 3 hints and whoever get’s it right, I’ll probably perhaps give that person a cookie or my awesome food creations I can make. So here are my 3 hints to give you all!
1) This was sung by a Norwegian duo.
2) It was released internationally as a digital download in 2013.
3) By Summer 2014, it had been streamed at least 100 million streams on Spotify.
Today I did my first audio assignment where I had to reverse a song. It was not so simple as I had imagined and it actually took the better part of my day and sanity. I started with trying to figure it out myself, obviously no luck there. I moved on to find a video to help me. I had worked with Audacity before, but could not figure out how to get my song in there, so I instead tried a very convoluted way from online instructions which involved both imovie and garageband. To my disdain and frustration, I again failed.
Finally, I went to the source, the Reverend Jim Groom, who showed me how to download a song form YouTube and reverse it in Audacity. Thus I was able to find my video and download it through a ‘pwn’ portal of some sort. However, my problems did not end even after easily reversing my song once it was in Audacity. I had to download YET ANOTHER application just so I could save my song to my computer. Finally, I saved it and used Known to get it onto Twitter and SoundCloud, though I had to fix a few things in SoundCloud that did not carry over through Known for some reason.
The experience was frustrating and reminded me of why I never wanted to touch technology, but I did it! I stuck to my project and finished it and for that I am unnecessarily proud of myself! At any rate, here are the clues to my song!
Guess the song:
1. Part of the song title reflects a time period in French culture.
2. You could say the band is royal.
3. Someone in the band has a planet in their name.
Do you know what it is?
For my second audio assignment, I did the Reverse Audio Quiz. So first I’ll tell you how I did it and then I’ll let you listen and guess what the song is.
How I did it:
I didn’t have the song I wanted downloaded on my computer yet so I pulled it up on Youtube and then I used this converter to change it to an audio file and download it to my computer. Once I had it downloaded, I opened up Audacity and imported the file that I just downloaded. Since I didn’t know how to reverse the file, I googled it and it seemed easy enough. So I selected the whole song and went to Effects>Reverse, like google said to do. That nicely reversed the audio for me. Then I saved the Audacity file and exported the file as mp3. Finally, I uploaded it to here so everyone could listen to it.
Here is the song reversed:
Here are your three hints:
1. It is from a movie
2. (From here)
3. (From here)
If you can’t get it after that you should probably quit at life (haha, only kidding). The first person to guess it gets a trophy! Woohoo, incentives.
