We’ve all seen those stories in which the person doesn’t talk, but just lifts up notecards where the story/words are written. Many of them are very sad, however, some are funny! I decided to make mine funny! It’s all about my encounter with what I thought was the world ending! What happened? Just watch!
I told a story using flashcards! I have seen flashcard stories, but they have always been extremely sad and personal stories. This assignment allowed for any kind of story, so I made one up. I wrote whatever came to me first, and I must have been hungry because it ended up being about food! Once the script was written on Word, I grabbed a marker and index cards and wrote everything down! I regret not writing a bit larger, but I think everything can be clearly read.
Recording was simple enough, and I downloaded the audio from FreeSound, but something strange happened when I tried to save what I had on iMovie. The original video file disappeared (okay, I probably deleted it, but I didn’t see it in my trash), and the iMovie was failing to save my final product. I had already crumbled up the index cards, so I did not want to record it again. I eventually realized that I could make the video full screen within iMovie since I could still preview it there, and I recorded my screen so that I had a new file of the video. When I added the audio to the new video file, it worked!
The story is silly, but editing took a lot longer than I thought it would considering that I only had to add two audio clips to the video!

This assignment (3.5 stars) was one I’d seen done many times before. It required me to tell a story using flashcards. A lot of these types of videos I’ve seen are about sad topics or bad thing that have happened in someone’s life. I knew that I wanted mine to be about something happy and positive. It’s the beginning of the holiday season so I decided to make mine about that.
How I Did It:
I first started by writing the different statements on flashcards. I then recorded the video on my Iphone and uploaded it on my laptop. Using Movie Maker I trimmed the video to get rid of the movement in the beginning and the end which was when I was starting and stopping the recording on my phone. I then added music. The background music used in the beginning was supposed to be similar to the background music used in these kinds of videos. I then faded out the first sound clip and faded in a Christmas song to fit the theme of the rest of the video. The final step was to upload it to YouTube.

For this assignment I wanted to tell my story about how I get what I always want. Yes, it might have been in the expense of my first husband but I got what I wanted at the end of the day. Let’s just say that this was the day that started my reputation for the rest of my life. I do not regret a thing that happened that day because it changed my life and it was for the better. Lesson learned that day: Do not cross the Black Widow or you will get bitten

This assignment was done on PhotoBooth on my computer as well, all I did was go to the effects button and find black and white. I felt like black and white gave it more of the feeling it makes you have. Once I found my effect I just recorded myself and there you go you have my story!
For one of my assignments this week, I chose to do the assignment, This is my story, that was submitted by Seong Cho.
The assignment is to, “Tell a short story using flashcard and record yourself. It can be something funny, sad, or just even express how your day was.” This assignment is worth 3 points.
I chose to do this assignment so that you all could learn a bit more about Mayfield’s. I don’t know why the words aren’t flipped, technical difficulties. Once I recorded it, I uploaded it to vimeo. Enjoy!
So for those of you who don’t know me. You should watch this video to get a general idea of who is Sara Sparkel and what is it that changed her life. I feel that People only know me from that radio show I was in weeks ago and some post here and there. I have made this quick flashcards about my life. It definitely summarizes the main things about me and also highlights the main things happening in my life recently. I hope this inspire others to do the same because it is definitely a good start to get yourself out there.
As I worked through the video assignments, I realized that most of the related story of John Brown is that he loves sweet food and he has sweet teeth. So for this assignment, I chose to focus on his past. The days after when his mom and Mark (his step-father) got remarried. The assignment called This is my story (3 points) was perfect for telling the past story of John Brown.
I would not going to tell the story of his past (if I tell you the video I made would be useless). It was easy and fun assignment. I recorded myself with the camera that was attached to my computer and than uploaded to youtube and then put background music to it. Making a video did not take too long, put writing a script too me a while. But it was pretty enjoyable assignment.

I choose to do this assignment because I feel it was a easy way to expand on Veronica. Talk about her life, family, home, hobbies, goals, etc. I first wrote out the note cards you see to tell her story, highlighting special words. After filming I found a cover version of one of my favorite 1940s songs, I’ll Be Seeing You. I originally wanted to overlay the real Billy Holiday version of the song, but it just wasn’t working. So I got the cover that you see curiosity of YouTube. Finally I added a black and white filter to fit Veronica’s 1940s character. I chose to end with a question to hopefully get other characters to respond to this video… So I ask again, What is your dream?
