Does anyone else spend too much of their time feeding leftovers to pets?
One of the assignments I’ve chosen this week, is a classic: to make a gif of an animal doing something funny. You can see the assignment post here.
These days, we can’t let a day pass by without seeing a gif or a video of a funny animal, and I think that’s something we can all cherish. Personally, seeing gifs like these that can make you laugh or smile, improves my day significantly. What improves my day even further is seeing my own pets, often doing something amusing and adorable. So, I knew this assignment was right for me and I have several humorous videos of my pets saved on my phone that would be ideal for gifs. I’ve always wanted to make gifs like these, but I never found the time to look into it until now.
For this assignment, I chose to create a gifs of my ducklings eating spagetti. My family often has some combination of ducks, chickens, and pigs at the house, and these ducks that we used to have, were one of the most amusing to watch. That day, after having spaghetti for dinner, we decided, why not, let’s give the leftovers to the ducklings and sit outside to watch them. It was a peaceful and lovely evening and I giggled often as the duckling struggled to slurp up noodles with their little bills. Truly, seeing what leftovers can be feed to animals is one of the greatest hobbies as it has the benefit of hardly ever wasting food and endless amusement.
In order to make this gif, since I don’t have any experience making gifs and I conveniently had this video on my phone, I decided to search for apps to create gifs. I downloaded a free app from iOS on my iPhone, called imgPlay. It allowed me to easily import a video from my camera roll and edit it, trimming the video to the length I wanted. It was easy to see how many frames the gif would make, preview it, and export it with different quality options. If anyone else is looking to easily create a gif from their phone like this, I’d highly recommend this app!
I hope these little ducks gave you a smile or a laugh!
Having a pet can be a great experience. They become members of the family. They love you as much as you love them. They play with you, protect you, and even make you laugh sometimes. I came across an assignment on Ds106 site, and it was to make a funny animal GIF. I saw these funny animal videos on Youtube and created a GIF from each video. The first one I created was of a cat wearing googly eyes. The second one was of a dog who fell asleep in weird position.
These GIFs still make me laugh. What y’all think? Is it funny?
For this assignment, I had to produce an animated GIF of an animal doing something funny. I found this video on an Instagram from an account called ‘UNILAD‘. I then imagined the times when I have myself seen a friend in another classroom and tried to distract them and vice versa.
I liked the idea of creating this GIF and making a meme from it that describes a relatable scenario that a majority of people have been through. This is one of them I believe.
How I made this GIF:

For this assignment, I used Gify to converted a Youtube video into a gif. I remember watching the video of a raccoon being so drunk it can hardly walk after having a bit too much to drink in a beer warehouse. Do enjoy!
Animals Doing Funny Things:
I clicked on this assignment so fast, not even Usain Bolt could have clicked faster. I thoroughly enjoy tagging my friends and sharing funny gifs/memes with my friends and family. I find myself somehow deeply relating to said gifs/memes and most of my comments are: “me irl,” “who made this meme of me,” and “might as well tag myself before you do.” So when I saw this assignment, it was a no brainer that I needed to do it.
As for the task itself, I found it to be generally easy. I used gifmaker.me and inputed the three photos I found to create my gif. I will say the hardest part was finding the pictures. Have you ever tried typing into the google search bar “dog falling sequence?” Yeah, well it doesn’t give you a lot to work with. However, I did get lucky and found a picture that had the sequence I was searching for. It did get tedious when I had to crop the picture three separate times so that I would be able to upload them properly to the gif maker, but once I was done out popped this masterpiece I titled – “Me trying to get through finals week.”

Find anyhting that has something to do with an animal doing something funny. Turn it into a GIF!
We all have pets that make funny faces, what we decide to do with them is up to us. Why not make a GIF of their funny faces?
For this assignment, I decided to make a Batdog GIF for my dog, Phoebe. Phoebe is a bit of a goof, so she is always making funny faces. My personal favorite is when she lies on her back and her ears turn into points and her lips exposing her teeth, like in my GIF. My family and I always make fun of her when she does this so when I saw the assignment “Animals Doing Funny Things,” I instantly knew what to do. To make this GIF, I first looked for a Batman GIF on Giphy. Once I found the perfect one, I added it as well as a photo of Phoebe to iMovie and created my GIF there. Below is my final product, tell me what you think!
Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh BATDOG!
For the first gif assignment of the week I decided to do the funny animal gif creation. This dogs face kind of reminded me of the dogs on the bacon treat commercial and that’s why I created this gif. In order to create this gif I downloaded GIMP and followed the tutorial that was posted in the Summer week 2 post and I got the pictures from google images. I’m not even sure if dogs really like bacon but based off of that commercial on tv it seems like they do.
For this assignment, Animals Doing Funny Things, we had to make a gif of an animal doing something funny. I chose pictures of a calm pug, a pug eating ice cream, and a pug with a crazy, excited look on his face. So in the gif, it’s what a pug looks like before he eats ice cream, while he eats ice cream, and after he eats ice cream.
I’ve never made a gif before so I had to do a little research in gimp. The hardest part was finding photos that fit together. I chose to slow the animation down a bit so you can actually see each picture. The automatic setting went through the photos so fast, I couldn’t even tell what kind of dog it was. I think this was a decent speed.
All my friends love joking around and making fun of each other. Its all fun and games honestly. HOWEVER!!
Theres is always that one joke that either goes to far to the point people just sit their in silences with their yes expanded or they just LMFAOOOOOOOOOO.
