A long time ago we used to be friends….

Veronica Mars is definitely my all time favorite tv show. If you haven’t seen it I highly, highly recommend. For this assignment I went to giphy to create all of mine. I decided to do some of the main characters from the show because without them the show wouldn’t be the show ya know. So I went to YouTube and looked up some scenes from the show with specific characters and copied the video url. Then in giphy I pasted the URL and trimmed the video to the section I wanted and also changed how long I wanted it to be. Once I did that for each one, I embedded it into word press. This assignment was really fun and it was really cool to go through different scenes of the show and pic them out!

Create 4-6 gifs from your favorite TV show

For this assignment, I chose Schitt’s Creek.

I first looked through a few videos to find this YouTube video that I could pull clips from. Then, I went to the Giphy website, and spent time finding the right times and durations to make each gif. I uploaded each separately to Giphy, edited them, added captions, then saved them to upload here. The hardest part was getting the gif to focus on the right scene, but they turned out pretty well!

I chose to make a few GIFs from my favorite TV show. I chose the show New Girl. I chose these specific scenes because I thought they were funny. They also could be used as reactions to texts or online. To make these GIFs I used the app ‘GIPHY’. It didn’t take too long to actually make them. The longest part of the process was choosing which scenes I wanted to make into GIFs. I love this TV show, so I enjoyed this assignment.

For my second assignment bank, I chose to do one under the section AnimatedGIF Assignments. I thought to do the 2 star assignment that was TV Show GIFS. I created 5 GIFS from my favorite TV show Love Island. Love Island is a reality TV show in the UK, Australia and US. It is basically about attractive singles who try and find love, but it is a comedic relief for me. A lot of the contestants say or do a lot of funny/stupid things on the show and I know there have been numerous memes/GIFS created from that show, so I thought it would be perfect for this assignment. Plus I am a sucker for reality television.

To create these GIFS, I went on the website GIPHY.com. I then looked up funny moments from seasons of Love Island on Youtube and added my favorite clips to GIPHY.com. I cut and edited the clips and made my 5 GIFS. You can see them on my GIPHY account or down below!

One of the assignments from the section “Animated GIF Assignment” for this week was to create 4-5 gifs (btw, how do you pronounce this?) of your favorite TV show. Of course, I had to choose the most dramatic show on television; The Bachelor! My favorite part of each season is the first episode where the girls try to outdo one another with their memorable entrances. Below I have included some of my favorite entrances in gif form!

The third and final assignment I chose was the TV show gifs from the animatedGIF assignments. This one was the most time consuming assignment out of the three, but it was pretty easy and an enjoyable experience. This assignment also relates to our theme as well since I was able to create gifs from one of my favorite shows, The Mandalorian, specifically season 2. It’s one of the few things my mom and I watch together since our taste in media is pretty different. While I really enjoy the show, watching it with my mom makes it even better.

My process in creating these gifs was first to download clips I wanted to use from youtube. Next I brought them into an editing program called Da Vinci Resolve to shorten the clips down. Here’s a process picture from that program:

The next step was to convert the clip into a gif. For this I used Giphy, probably the most popular place to find gifs.

When editing your gif, there are different filters you can use, so I tried a few of them out on my last three gifs.

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I decided to tackle a few assignments today… and ended up just getting caught up in this one for an hour! I chose to do the TV Show GIFs assignment and picked Bachelor In Paradise as my “favorite show.” This isn’t actually my all-time favorite TV show, but it keeps a standing Monday and Tuesday night date going with my best friend so I watch it too much! I used GIPHY to create my GIFs and it was easier than I thought it would be. Finding the videos that I wanted on youtube was the hard part. Once I trimmed down the video to the size I wanted, I just captioned it with what they were saying. I chose these for a variety of reasons:

This one just cracked me up. If you watch Bachelor in Paradise you know how awkward “Grocery Store Joe” is. It was so funny to see how nervous he was when he was handed a crying baby! I could totally relate; when I had my son I had no idea what was coming. Motherhood hit me like a ton of bricks and is insane! But you just have to keep smiling and pushing on.

This poor girl has gotten attached to so many guys and they all leave her. In the preview for next week’s episodes it appears that she’s getting engaged. Each guy she dates she says is “unlike anyone [she’s] ever met” and that she’s “so excited.” And here she is once again saying she’s “so excited.” Why can’t people be happy on their own? I guess that’s the whole point of the show but it’s crazy to me.

This just made me laugh. Jordan is a “male model” and is obsessed with his hair. When talking about future babies one of the other guys asked what would happen if the theoretical baby didn’t like his hair… and Jordan froze. His reaction was priceless and everyone else saw it too!

This just felt relatable. Cassandra has the stereotypical “excited mom” face where you know she’s running gall of the terrible scenarios in her head but still says she’s “so excited.” This is me all day every day. Trip to the pumpkin patch? Fun! I’m so excited! But on the inside I’m also wondering what happens if he turns out to be allergic to hay, if he runs off, if he gets bit by one of the animals… the list goes on. Cassandra gets it.

I kind of ran in my own direction with this post but it was fun learning how to make GIFs! I see them all the time and use them a lot too, but I didn’t realize how easy it would be to make one. You can try it out for yourself here!
