Valentines day is a day for everyone to feel young. The Song We are Young by Fun says it so well. unfortunatly my valentines day was not so great. I would like to think that next year my picture will apply! I designed this picture using picknik from flickr. I added lirycs to this picture that I fell in love with.

I first went to http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/ and found a picture of two people ice skating. Then I went to www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100 and looked through the songs until I found one with suitable lyrics. I choose one of my favorite songs Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum. I used GIMP to add text to the image experimenting with the colors. I decided the image looked best in black and white.

This assignment was pretty straight-forward and simple. I took a photo from The Big Picture and a song from the Top 100 List, and added the lyrics in Picnic. I ended up choosing a photo under the skating category. I chose “Paradise” by Coldplay because the picture looked pretty paradisal to me, so the song seemed like a perfect match.

I chose the picture with thousands of people on a bridge with different flags along with the lyrics from Micheal Jackson’s song, We Are The World. This song reveals such a big message about life and love, that I believed it went with the picture as soon as I saw it!
