The Fairyfloss Kingdom is a magical place of gumdrops, unicorns, and glitter. It’s everything a little girl could ever dream of! But the princess of this kingdom, Rainbow Fairyfloss, is goth, and absolutely hates it. She’s more into black than pink. Being the princess of a fairy tale kingdom comes with a lot of expectations and pressure, but Rainbow, who goes by ‘Rain‘ for short, wants nothing to do with it.

Rain has many distinct features, but the one that stands out the most is definitely her crown. With it covering half of her eyes, this crown weighs as heavy on her head as it does her soul. Despite hating pink, being the princess means Rain has to follow a rather strict dress code. This hasn’t stopped her from making a few modifications, however, such as tearing off the sleeves and the lower half of the dress. Besides her thick mascara, the part of her outfit she likes the most are her giant boots, mainly because she gets to stomp around in them all day.

Some of Rain’s likes include metal music, browsing memes on MirrorMirror, and spending time with the only people she considers friends. These include Nully, Rain’s hornless unicorn best friend; Sue, the punk mermaid that Rain definitely doesn’t have a crush on or anything like that; and Pea, Rain’s occasionally tolerable fairy goddaughter. Being as angsty as she is, Rain has quite a handful of dislikes. Some of these dislikes are candy, pop music, the color pink, her parents (sometimes), magic, glitter, dragoncide, and anyone who’s mean towards her.

Though she may live in a world that feels like it’s out to get her, Rain, through the help and encouragement of her friends, is learning to appreciate life, one step at a time.

Creating Your Own Character: Create a character covering all aspects of them. Write about a paragraph of backstory, cover their appearance, personality, likes, dislikes, and what their place is in their world.

For this assignment I was supposed to make my very own character/ I was going to generate a basic character and build it with more traits, however I think thinking about my own character from scratch is important to me more. Since I wrote the background first, I already had an image of what he would look like. The hardest part was trying not to dip my character into stereotypes but I think I did anyways…oops. I almost don’t like writing characters once I finish because they always end up the same in personality, I wish I was able to be more diverse and venture into more colorful characters.

Background:
Mr. Bananta was a man with many accomplishments due to his high motivation. He excelled and was complemented on his robotic skills, that is until someone younger and more skilled came along, the attention soon flocked towards this new rival. Mr. Bananta’s self-worth was diminishing, day by day his goals and hobbies became dull and unnecessary. Everything was now just a blur; negative memories took over and he didn’t quite understand the feeling. He believed he was simply unmotivated and needed a better environment to work. So, he moved, however, he was more depressed and anxious than ever before. He didn’t know what to do at this point. All the good he thought of life was followed by questions of why the world was too cruel. He gave up and now lives alone, waiting until his ‘unmotivated’ feelings leave.

Occupation: Created robots through coding for a software developing company while also helping his neighbors with any personal issues through his skills.

How it Works:
1.) Not many tools were used for this assignment other than my brain and words to help me organize my thoughts.
2.) Once I got everything done I copied and pasted here where I edited a bit

Behind the Story: This character I had been working on prior to the assignment. This assignment helped give me a structure or format I could use when coming up with this character. All of this was based on a challenge I had with my girlfriend. I will go more into detail when I narrate my process.

Narrating the Process: This character came entirely from a challenge I had with my girlfriend. Based on this post from Reddit, I challenged my girlfriend in seeing who could create the better Seth McFarlane Show family/cast. Le Fuchia Chil is based off of the Rebellious/different teenage daughter. Although Le Fuchia is not a teenager I thought should would still fit the criteria because I do not believe Hayley from American Dad is a teenager either. Her background, appearance, and other information is all based on the character drawing I did on a sheet of paper. I decided upon the likes, dislikes, and personality based on people I know. Each section was based on a different person to try and make the character as different as possible without trying too hard.

I found an interesting assignment which would allow me to flesh out my character more. I’m tasked with writing a brief backstory and then outlining my characters traits, likes, dislikes etc.

Backstory: For any of you that have read about my character, Rocket Richard you already have a general idea of who and what hes about. For those of you who don’t I will give you a brief rundown. Rocket was born in Florida next to a NASA launching site where his father worked. Growing up was tough for Rocket as he didn’t really fit in with other children. His dad frequently worked and his mother was seldom home which meant Rocket was generally a loner. His father would however spend time with Rocket whenever given the chance. The two enjoyed hockey, whether it was playing it or watching it. This was Rockets escape from reality, down time with his father enjoying hockey. Eventually Rockets father signed Rocket up for a local hockey team. Rocket wasn’t very talented and therefore didn’t really fit in or play very often. To make matters worse Rockets father would later die leaving Rocket without his best friend.  To cope with the pain Rocket would frequently sneak onto NASA launching grounds and watched the test launches that his father had previously done. One night something fell from the rocket and struck Rocket knocking him unconscious. When he later awoke he felt stronger, faster and much different. Whatever had hit Rocket that night gave him incredible powers. He then used those very powers to play hockey becoming one of the greatest of all time while also being a hero off the ice as well…but that’s another story for a different day.

Name: Mannfred ‘Sandbar’ Black

facial hair: thick dark brown beard

clothing: tall, worn boots, brown legs with tattered ends, simple cloth tunic with leather chest piece over it

weapons: two cutlasses at his waist

personality: loud and boisterous, as willing to spend a night in the bar getting plastered with his mates as he is to rough up a man who hasn’t paid his protection dues to whoever is paying Mannfred to collect debts.

Backstory: Once he served on one of the most famous privateer ships that sailed the seas, hunting down foes of the city of Cairno and ravaging enemy merchant ships for loot. After it got sunk by a mysterious ship that did not fly any flag, he washed up on a sandbar near Cairno where he was saved by some fishermen, since then he returned to Cairno and started simply making ends meet in the slums of the harbour, often acting as an enforcer for the multitude of crime lords there and occasionally smuggling things into and out of the city on his small dinghy. He hopes to one day get back out onto the open sea as the captain of his own ship

I’m actually somewhat surprised I found this in fanfic, and very glad I did. Sounds right up the alley of a person that plays d&d, so I am pretty much putting down the character concept of my most recent player character in a D&D campaign I’m playing in.
