I made this great idea for a mashup assignment!

Take a movie that you really like.  Now think of a movie that has been compared to it, and make a new movie poster that incorporates the two!

Be creative and really sell your poster!

Everyone knows that for a while, the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series were in stiff competition.  So why not make one movie?

Introducing, Harry Potter and the Volturi!!!

Here are all the pictures I started with
 

I want to start with the Harry Potter picture and use that as my main background.  Since I want to change the title, I need to remove the words “goblet of fire”.  In order to do this I uploaded the pic to Corel Paintshop Pro X6

In order to remove the words, go to the left tool bar and select clone>object removal.  This will bring up a lasso tool, then trace around the area you want removed.  Once you do this a dotted line will appear, go up to the top tool bar and select source mode.  This will bring up a box, drag and resize that box over an area of the picture that you want to replace the words.  For this, I dragged it over the bushes in the background. Then go up top again and select apply.  This will remove the words.

After I saved this I opened it in GIMP, along with pictures of the volturi.

Using the lasso tool, I traced around the people I wanted to keep and copy and pasted them around the background in the Harry Potter picture.

Next, for the new title, I needed the letters to match everything else so I went to dafont and downloaded the Harry Potter font.  Then I opened the picture in microsoft word to add the rest of the title with the correct font.
