There was something there

We shouldn’t have been there so late at night.  We had come to the woods to walk around a bit, clear our minds.  But there was something glowing just over the hills.  This is as close as I could get until a voice yelled out at us to get out of there.  Then all of a sudden the light dimmed, almost going out, and we heard more voices.  One female, the other male, speaking in a language I’ve heard before but couldn’t understand.  I wanted to stay longer but my friends dragged me away, in fear of what could happen next.

In writing and taking this photo I was imagining my superhero character, the Terrific Dazzler, who can emit light from her body.  Last week I wrote a piece on what her daily life would be like so this week I wanted a photo that reflected what others could see her as.  I wanted to capture the fear of the unknown or the uncontrolled that non-powered/mutated people have for superheroes.

It’s a bird it’s a plane, it’s Little Brain!

The next visual assignment I worked on this week was worth four stars and was called It’s a bird it’s a plane. I thought this was such an interesting assignment because there are so many photos of famous myths. It is crazy how one blurry picture can keep a myth alive. This project I decided to take a photo of something that might just be the famous sidekick Little Brain. For this assignment I had my friend Tyler get all dressed up in a costume that is similar to little brain’s lab coat which was really just my Hollister button down shirt. Then I had Tyler put on my roommates eye glasses to match Little Brain’s glasses. Lastly since Tyler is 6’4 I had him kneel for the picture so he would be closer to Little Brain’s height (which is 5’6). Then to make it a blurry myth like shot I had him peeking out of a door way down an unlit hallway. To make the image blurry I decided to first record a video of him doing the motion of poking his head out, then screen-shotted an image from there so it was extra un clear. My final image of the famous Little Brain being caught on camera for the first time ever!

It’s a bird, It’s a Gargoyle

Pictured: Goliath, Leader of the Manhattan gargoyle clan. Photo captured during the day.

“It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane

This is a photo of Invisible Woman.  She is a little camera shy but right before I took the picture, she was standing right in front of the tv and I couldn’t see.

The Fuzzy Creature Strikes Again

What the hell is that thing!! Again it has entered a seemingly innocent persons room and pounced on them leaving them with fur and a minor bite on their neck! Many of the people have not been able to get a good look but one of the survivors were able to capture this image because they were on Snapchat during the time of the attack. We can not tell from the picture how big the creature was the victims state that they closed their eyes because it was coming at their faces. The attacks have only been happening during the full moon we know it sounds insane but we are starting to think that this creature is a werewolf! Any person who has information or experienced an attack should come forward and help find this creature! Please help before there are more victims!

Assignment Bank 2 #DS106 (4 star)

I did “It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane”  Photograph assignment for this one.

Antman

Here is my result, a Photo of Antman, (You got to look closely and just maybe you will get a glimpse of him.) It actually took me awhile to think of what to do for a superhero, (mainly because there is so many choices.)

If you want to try it yourself you can find it here, http://assignments.ds106.us/assignments/its-a-bird-its-a-plane/

It’s a bird, it’s a plane

Have you ever seen that picture that *might* be the loch ness monster, but it’s probably just a floating log? Well now it’s your turn to perpetuate a myth – the myth of superheroes. Go out and take a picture of something that you know isn’t a superhero, but could be. Is that Superman, or just a bird? Is that Antman, or do I you need to do abetter job cleaning the kitchen? Who’s to say?
