Make ’em Laugh!

_cokwr: Find a good, brief joke in a language other than your mother tongue; if you don;t know any other languages this might be a good way to start learning. Record your voice telling the joke focusing on pronunciation and try to make it sound as natural as you can with appropriate vocal inflections. Add a (cc) music track underneath (maybe from jamendo.com) and a laugh track (soungle.com is a good source) at the end. , _cpzh4: Audio, _cre1l: http://allthingsaudio.wikispaces.com, _chk2m: Darren Kuropatwa, _ciyn3: 77, _ckd7g: , _clrrx: , _cztg3:

Make Your Own Ringtone(s)

_cokwr: Using Audacity, trim, join end-to-end (cut/paste), and/or play side-by-side audio files in order to create your very own ringtone. Ringtones should be a maximum or 40 seconds to conserve phone memory (besides, most cell phones don't ring longer than 30 seconds or so...the extra 10 seconds is just in case). Be creative, you might want to actually use it on your phone. Please properly cite all sources used -- Remember, fair use requires money to use as a defense., _cpzh4: Audio, _chk2m: Joe Proffitt, _ciyn3: 152, _ckd7g: , _clrrx: , _cztg3:

Character Bird Calls

_cokwr: Like some people use special whistles to attract birds, your task is to create an 30 second or less audio file that might be used to “call” a particular character from a movie, tv, or real life. It cannot feature voices, but sounds only (try http://freesounds.org). Write a description why this sound would be attractive to the character, why it would be effective (be inventive, write a story about it). , _cpzh4: Audio, _cre1l: http://cogdogblog.com/2011/10/16/dr-oliver-bird-call/, _chk2m: CogDog, _ciyn3: 193, _ckd7g: , _clrrx: , _cztg3:

Based on 1-Quote-A-Day Project!!

_cokwr: First of all, see this following link (assignment introduced by mome). http://ds106.us/2011/10/16/1-quote-a-day/ Quotes could be nice only by its own, but it might go further when it went beyond written words. Read your quote for a day out loud, and record it! Do not forget to give an appropriate feeling to it. Tone of voice could be a helpful hint for answerers to guess where your quote came from. Mimicking the original tone could be nice enough, but you also can add your own feelings to it as well. :), _cpzh4: Audio, _cre1l: http://morita-tuj.blogspot.com/2011/11/based-on-1qad-part12-soundcloud-direct.html, _chk2m: Rimi 'Kookaburra' Morita, _ciyn3: 210, _ckd7g: , _clrrx: , _cztg3:
