It's not unheard of for our favorite films to be remaid or redone, and characters to evolve and change during each remake (such as every Snow White / Disney princes movie). For this assignment, mashup clips of one character from several different remaid movies, showing the evolution of the character through films, creating a 2-3 minute video.

Take 2 actors and mash them together into one photo. You can use Photoshop or Pixlr to do this. Make sure that they look like they belong in their setting and they look like they were actually together when the photo was taken (the colors match, the sizing is right, etc). Have fun with it!

Take a dramatic closeup of anyone's face - an actor's, a friend's, your own - and superimpose a landscape or scene over the face. Since this is a mashup, get crazy with it. Take two completely unrelated images and put them together, then try to make a story out of it!

We all have favorite holidays, but sometimes it's hard to pick just one! For this assignment, use a photo editing software like Pixlr or Photoshop to mashup your top THREE favorite holidays/cultural celebrations. Use whatever elements you would like from each holiday, creating a character or scene with the images/symbols you've chosen. Tell the story behind this character or image!

You can follow the example video and start the second line on the last word of the first line. You can choose to do this assignment in any way you want, just be creative with it.

Use a video that you created in DS106 and blend it with a movie of similar content. Use Movie Maker or another editing tool to splice and dice a scene(s) from the two movies so they appear as one. The new combined video should be portrayed as before and after or is it after and before? You decide. The video should be between 3-4 minutes. Get creative.

Combine separate previously recorded audio and video files to create a video mashup of a talking pet. Use Audacity or another audio recording software and Movie Maker or another video editing software. The segments from each should be edited to deliver your message from the talking pet. For this assignment, I used an audio assignment of my host character giving a morning message to the village people. I also had a video of my dog barking while I was talking to him, which was used as part of a video assignment. The original audio and video segments were uploaded to ...
