Super Storyteller’s Radio bumper

For this assignment, I created a radio bumper for my group’s radio show. It is a 4 star level, and I used logic to make it. I also used ccmixer to find the underlapping audio called “of Lightening and Fireflies” that you can hear. I then bounced it and uploaded it onto soundcloud.

For my group’s radio project, I created a radio bumper (4 stars). I thought and wrote about what to say in the bumper. I incorporated our group name, Myths, Legends, and Character Conversations, into the bumper and then decided to also add that we would be telling our characters’ stories. I added background music that felt very mythical, and mysterious to the background. The hardest part was getting the amplification of the music and voice right. The music was super loud and overbearing, so I had to decrease the amplification on it and increase it for my voice. I like the beginning sound to the bumper because it builds up and has a very dark, whimsical sound.

Until next time,

The Best Myths, Legends, and Character Storytelling Around!

For this assignment, I used Audacity to create a radio bumper for our team’s radio show!  It was so much fun!  I went to YouTube and found some free radio jingles to use, which directed me to https://www.radiojinglesvip.com/free-radio-jingles to download a few.

A Second Radio Bumper: News Edition!

For my second assignment this week, I chose to create another radio bumper for 4 stars, this time one specific to our upcoming news edition of the DS106 radio show.

The idea of our radio show was to incorporate all of our characters and worlds into one multiverse, that the DS106 radio news reports on, so I wanted to make sure to mention our news show and the multiverse in my bumper. I also added some upbeat music to improve the mood during these short breaks from the program to entice people to keep listening.

I know this bumper has significantly improved as compared to my last one, as I found some excellent copyright free music on sound cloud that I could add to my Audacity project. There, I simply lowered the volume of the music and added fade in and fade out effects to the music at the beginning and end of the bumper, so it transitions in more smoothly than before. I’m proud of myself for being able to figure that out without a tutorial, as it was as simple as selecting an area of the video I wanted to fade in/out and going to: Effect > Fade in, or Effect > Fade out. I’ll definitely be using these fade in and out effects in the future, as it makes a world of difference, I think, especially for a radio show, which this will be included in.

Bumper for DS106 News

My group will be reporting news stories that are relevant to our characters’ lives. I used this Create a DS106 Radio For my bumper I specified that this was the news segment and told our listeners to stay tuned for current events & the weather. I layered a bit of background music so that it wasn’t so dull. As always, I used audacity for editing.

Radio Bumper

Here is my radio bumper for DS106 radio. See tthe full description in my blog. This assignmnet was harder than I expected.

My Radio Bumper

I made this using audacity with a cool beat and my own voice.

Welcome to the DS106 Radio

I hope this sounds alright! It’s kind of an awkward thing to make! I think it is kind of funny honestly!

Radio Bumper

This is my attempt at the radio bumper(station identification) assignment. For this I created a audio file on audacity that is roughly 25 seconds long. I wanted to add some nice background music that played alongside the radio bumper. It took me awhile to figure out what I was going to say or how I would say it. I finally settled on just promoting the show and then adding in an ice little fake sponsor to add a little realism to the bumper. Its short, sweet and simple. I had a fun time while working on it and it really got me brainstorming on the thirty minute radio show. Hope you enjoy the short little bumper.
