Minccino Plushie Spubble

When I saw the the great photos of Minccino in Ken’s imaginative Buddy Photo ds106 assignment from earlier today, I knew I had to do a Spubble. The ds106 Your Very Own Spubble assignment was a popular for a while last semester. It is one that can be completed fairly quickly and is fun to do.

As I’ve been posting too many photos of myself lately, I decided to revise the original assignment description:

Learn to love yourself, grab a picture of yourself in which your body language, actions, gestures, etc. suggest one thing and then play off that using a speech bubble. Ideally the result would make people laugh…

So rather than me with an amusing speech bubble, I get to present Minccino sitting down to enjoy a Las Vegas Burger from McDonalds (available for a limited time only).

The process involved opening the image from Ken’s site directly in Pixlr and adding the speech bubble just as I did with a ds106 assignment done earlier today with another image.

Not much of a story to this other than that I’m so grateful to have so much inspiring work being thrown my way by the students. This is really a blast.

I only hope Ken doesn’t mind Minccino being used in such a way.

Your very own Spubble

_cokwr: Learn to love yourself, grab a picture of yourself in which your body language, actions, gestures, etc. suggest one thing and then play off that using a speech bubble. Ideally the result would make people laugh---but I must acknowledge there are other possible emotional responses that may be just as acceptable. Think of it as lolcat, save it's a human (namely you) and there is nothing compelling anyone to abuse the letter z in the speech bubble text. Picnik.com or Aviary.com would make this assignment dead simple., _cpzh4: Visual, _cre1l: http://bavatuesdays.com/files/2011/10/Picture-14.png, _chk2m: Jim Groom, _ciyn3: 190, _ckd7g: , _clrrx: , _cztg3:

Second ds106: My very own Spubble!

Your very own Spubble is Visual Assignment 190. It was submitted by Jim Groom. The assignment description is too:

“Learn to love yourself, grab a picture of yourself in which your body language, actions, gestures, etc. suggest one thing and then play off that using a speech bubble. Ideally the result would make people laugh—but I must acknowledge there are other possible emotional responses that may be just as acceptable. Think of it as lolcat, save it’s a human (namely you) and there is nothing compelling anyone to abuse the letter z in the speech bubble text.”

I was inspired to do this assigment after I saw my friend Walter’s blog post. While he used Picnik as reccomemnend, I felt that I wanted to do it by hand so I used Paintbrush for Mac OSX.

I was inspired to do it by hand to make it look like the old school Yo! MTV Raps logo, but in this picture I was doing a rock sign with my hand even though my clothe was more hip-hop style, both music style that I enjoy, thus I wrote Yo! Rock on!

Although embarrassing, and not quite similar, I like the way my spubble turned out.

My Spubble! – I look DRUNK!

Your very own Spubble is a ds106 assignment in which you take a picture of yourself with an eccentric body expression and add a speech bubble to it. The assignment was submitted by Jim Groom, as he states:

“Learn to love yourself, grab a picture of yourself in which your body language, actions, gestures, etc. suggest one thing and then play off that using a speech bubble. Ideally the result would make people laugh…”

So I found one of the silliest of my pictures, and added a bubble and quote accordingly:

When I first saw this picture after the party I cracked the hell up! I looked so drunk and ridiculous, when in fact I was the sober one! I was the bartender for my friend’s party. I hadn’t drank at all when they called me over to take a group picture. Every body looks so decent, yet I look like a drunk retard! It’s freaking hilarious!

It was easy work. I downloaded this picture from my friend’s Facebook, then I uploaded it on Picnik. Picnik is quick and extremely easy to use. There I added the frame for effect, and spubble. Justin warned me to first add the text bubble, and afterwards the text. That’s all it took!

I hope you guys found it entertaining!

Spubble

the best part was this is how i really felt! this project was fun to do i looked to make both a good photo and an character that most if not all people would know. enjoy~

My Spubble

Your Very Own Spubble!

Here’s second work of ds106 assignment.
It was not very difficult but I enjoyed a lot! Thank you Jim Groom.

The Darth Vader guy is me. And she is my wonderfully beautiful girlfriend.
This is how TUJ students escape from their reality.

?How I made it?
Put spubble. That’s all!

I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0.

ds106 Assignment #5

For this ds106 assignment I decided to do another spubble. For those of you who still don’t know what a spubble is just click on this link for more details “Very Own Spubble.”While the spubble is not the most challenging of all the ds106 assignments, I find it to be one of the funniest and most enjoying. I believe this picture was taken while I was in Shibuya. My friends and I found this really cool pet store where they had dogs just running around on the floor.

My Very Own Spubble

spubble

This is in response to the DS 106 assignment: “Learn to love yourself! Grab a picture of yourself in which your body language, actions, gestures, etc. suggest one thing and then play off that using a speech bubble–that’s called SPUBBLE. Ideally, the result would make people laugh—but I must acknowledge there are other possible emotional responses that may be just as acceptable.”

I had been trying to figure out how to make an animated gif and whether or not the result would be worth the learning curve. My sister Cheryl and I were walking by Delta Ponds when I saw this sign over the new salmon counter. I started playing around and Cheryl got this shot of me.

I added the spubble in Piknik, but not very well!

Your very own Spubble

My third ds 106 is Your very own Spubble.
I’ve just heard that visual assignments are easy, so, why don’t I try one?

This picture was taken in last summer, when my friend did my hair color.. she has started working as a hair stylist from April and she wanted to practice coloring on people’s hair actually. I didn’t ask her any color at that moment because she is my BFF and I trusted her that she wouldn’t do any strange colors. She bleached my hair pretty much and it became so blighter! like.. beyond my expectation. lol

Afterward, I was warned to return my hair color by a store manager of my part time job since the blighter hair color is not allowed but i guess it was good experience for both of us!

DS106#2-Visual-very own Spubble

For second ds106 assignment, I choose Visual assignment about your very own Spubble!!
OK..here is my Spubble!!

I have taken this photo in this summer when I was in California.
I and my friends went to the private beach in Malibu and surfing. Actually the beach was behind Jennifer Lopez’s house!! This photo seemingly is not really ironical, but actually it is..because there are a lot of professional surfers on that private beach, and everyone can surf really well…except me!! Actually this was my third time of gone surfing. And in this picture I am look really enjoying, but actually I had terrible suntanning at the moment and I had a fever…so it is not actually time to go to surfing…instead..time to go to hospital..!! Anyway, it was great memory for me to gone to surf.

How did I create this photo?
1) Pick my own photo.
2) save as paint file.
3) Edit with paint software of creating spubble.
4) Make sentence, and insert in the spubble.
5) Uploaded to blogger.
6) Done!!

Enjoy my second ds106 assignment!!
