Choose your favorite sports team, and make a video montage much like you would see in the pregame video in the stadium or arena. Make it look authentic! Add music and any effects to really push your montage to the next level!

Take a clip of a sports event, baseball, football, basketball etc. Take the commentary from a different sport and add that commentary over the original video. Try and get the audio to match up so it makes at least a little sense. Make it comical, have some fun with it! From experience, the hardest part is finding a video clip and audio clip and getting them to match up. After that, you’re golden! An example of this is from SNL below…
There’s an awesome Tumblr blog created by That Design Bastard filled with animated GIFs of Batman and Robin Running away from sh*t. The cool thing is the site posts a PSD file of Batman and Robin running with a transparent background so you can make your own. He even encourages you to submit your GIF to him for consideration. Time to get those two caped crusaders running scared!
Why should movies be so serious? Take a clip from a movie that is supposed to be serious and remove the audio. Then, replace the audio with that from a comedy movie. Try to line up the speaking from the audio clip with the movements and actions in the video clip. This creates a hilarious effect that we all enjoy. Try using well known movies and clips so that we knwo what the actor should be saying. It makes the clip all the more funny.
Have a conversation with yourself! Film yourself talking, then change clothes, hair styles, etc and then film the other half of the convo. Edit this in any movie editor program (I used Pinnacle movie maker) To overlap the two scenes so that you are talking to yourself! Play around, to figure out the most efficient way! Also, timing is everything in this! Make sure when talking to leave breaks for your other self to respond!
Have fun with this!
Create a mashup of 6 video clips (either TV or Movie) no longer than 2 seconds each. See if anyone can guess your favorite films!
Find any song and mash up a video of some animals dancing. Try to get the animals to move to the beat.
Where is somewhere that you have always dreamed of going? I really like travelling, and I often think about where I would go if I had all the money in the world. Do a video montage of images and/or video of the places that you would like to go, and add music that is native to the that area or just something fun.
I know you probably have a smart phone so take advantage of your apps! There’s a new(ish) app out there called Vine, it’s super cool and I love watching super cool Vines (not super crappy ones!) Show DS106 what you did today! Show us what you ate for lunch, show us what you did when you woke up, show us what you did while you were making another DS106 assignment (hey 2 birds one stone!) get creative! It’s only a 6 second video!
So you’ve come to the end of the season of DS106 (yes the season, because DS106 is #4life) and you want to showcase your work! Go through all of the work you did for DS106 and showcase it as you see fit with audio and video. Ideally this will combine your audio, visual, design, and video. Show us what you’re most proud of and display it in an awesome way!
