Disney Mashup

I combined a bunch of Disney songs together to create a pretty cool mix I wish the transitions were a little cleaner but I liked the idea of starting off where another song left off with the same sounding word. For example I used know and go and for and sure. I used iMovie so that’s probably why its really choppy but I had fun making it I always enjoy listening to Disney songs!

Trainspotting mashup

This is my mashup for one of my favorite movies.  I don’t know why I like Trainspotting so much but it’s one of the few films that I can watch over and over again.  Given the content, I don’t know what that says about me.

I used the 4K video downloader to download videos from Youtube and Final Cut Pro provided on the school computers to edit since my laptop doesn’t have movie editing capabilities.  This was rated three stars.

Boston Mashup

For my last mashup assignment of Week 12, I decided to complete the Favorite Sports Team Mashup. It was easy for me to come up with an idea for this assignment as Morph Shadow follows the Boston/New England Sports team as she is from Winthrop, Massachusettes, right outside of Boston, so naturally, they are her favorite teams. To complete this assignment, I compiled the logos for the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and the Bruins. Once I had the logos, I just had to figure out how I wanted to arrange them all together. The hardest one for me was the clover for the Celtics. I had no idea where I was going to put it on the Patriot, but I like it’s location as it is very subtle. To put the logos together, I used Pixel Editor PhotoStyle, an application on my Mac. Once completed, I downloaded it to my computer and embedded it below.

Disney Mashup Tutorial

I decided to create a tutorial for the Disney Mashup Assignment. I used quicktime on my computer to record my screen as I was doing it, and then used iMovie to add text to the tutorial! I also added a background song from free music archive. When it was done, I uploaded it to Youtube.

Disney Mashup

I did the Disney mashup assignment (4 stars) where I picked two songs from Moana and Frozen, my favorite newer Disney movies. I still like the old ones better though, not gonna lie. I used audacity and did some simple fade in and outs to make it flow. I also made a tutorial showing how to do it here.

Photo Mash

In this assignment, we were required to incorporate two actors into an image. I chose to include several musicians as well. This picture features the two main characters from Back to the Future, Kanye West, Future the rapper, Phil of the Future and Tyler the Creator.

Photo Mash

The last Mashup assignment I completed for this week was the Photo Mash assignment worth 3 1/2 stars! The idea of this assignment was to combine 2 different actors into one image that actually makes sense and looks normal! For this I chose to pick two classic “School Mean Girls” and have them competing for Queen of the high school halls.

To complete this assignment I googled image searched classic movie mean girls and came up with two of my personal favorites, Regina George from Mean Girls and Lana from Princess Diaries. Once I had my two mean girl pictures I used photo shop to add them both to a background image of school lockers. To make the photo look realistic as the assignment wants I carefully chose two images that look similar. By this I mean I picked images of the two girls posing similarly, looking in the same direction, and had similar coloring allowing for a much simpler edit. I also chose the background image as a background that they have in common, high school hallway lockers! Then I tweeted my final product!

Holiday Mashup

Since the holiday season is about to be in full swing I thought what a perfect time to do this assignment. It is worth 4 stars, and is super fun!

To start I picked my three holidays to mashup, I chose Christmas, Forth of July, and Halloween! I love all three holidays. I googled images for each of these holidays to crop together. Here are the originals…

Then I used my favorite editing app Pasteify! Although this app only allows you to crop two images together at one time it is so simple and easy to use that I often use it multiple times!

First I combined the Christmas tree picture and the firework picture together using the standard Pasteify app 3 step system (choosing a background, highlighting the parts of the foreground you want to keep, and combining the two into one cropped image). Then once I had those two images combined into one I used that new image and cropped the pumpkin into it using the same 3 step system within the Pasteify app. It sounds complicated, but it is so simple and took me 5 minutes tops! Here is my final product! I really wanted the image to look like one complete picture. I used the firework for Forth of July as the Christmas tree star, and the Halloween pumpkin as a gift under the tree! I am pretty happy with the overall Holiday Mashup!

Favorite Sports Teams MashUp

For my last mashup assignment this week, I took a couple of my boyfriend’s favorite teams and put them together. I used the L.A. Rams, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Boston Red Sox. I was trying to also incorporate the San Antonio Spurs, but they weren’t fitting in a way that made sense. I used Canva to put them all together, and cropped them a bit as well. Then, I tweeted the final product.

Holiday MashUp

For my next mashup assignment I created a “Holiday MashUp.” My three holidays I chose were Christmas, Easter, and Independence Day. Christmas is my absolute most favorite holiday. EVER. I’m so excited to start decorating, but haven’t been able to start yes because I’ve been so busy with school! I also like Easter and Independence Day. Overall, these are my favorite holidays because of the family events that come along with these holidays.
