Create a voice mail message for a character in a film or tv show. Use samples, impressions, and/or music to create your message.

I made a message which is supposed to be from the character Neal Caffrey from the TV show White Collar. Neal plays an ex-conman who now works for the FBI as a consultant. He has many aliases; one of his most famous ones is Nick Holden, who is a sly thief and has many connections to criminals and underground activities.

Since most of his activities are under the radar I made his message to warn those who leave a message not to be conspicuous. And that Nick has many connections so he knows whats going on. He is also pretty classy so I felt Sinatra was suitable for the background.

The Contest Nobody Could Win

2 stars

This one was fun, I had to choose 6 songs and a clip of each under 1 second. I picked songs that were pretty easy to guess. I parts I chose for each song made it easy to guess also. I cut the length of each song and placed them next to each other using Sony Vegas.

I chose mostly popular songs that a majority of the people would know. I figured if I chose all country songs, the challenge would be the contest no one could win.

Audio #4 “Movie Voice Machines” 3 Star Assignment

“MOVIE VOICE MACHINES” BY: ALASIA LAUREANO

For this audio assignment I had to create a voicemail message for a character in a film or tv show using samples, impressions, and/or music to create the message. I decided to pretend I was “Squidward” from “The Sponge bob Square Pants” television show on Nickelodeon. I must say I cracked myself up while doing this, others may not even believe it’s me because of the way I sound which is the funny part ha ha!! Well, In order for me to pretend I was Squidward I held my noise as if I was trying to suffocate myself, and then I began practicing my best impression of how he speaks on the show! I think I did a pretty good job! LOL! I decided to be a little more creative and include the sound of a cow on the answering machine as if Squidward was milking it, and then towards the end of the message I included the beep sound for people to leave the message, I found both the cow sound and the beep sound on YouTube as well, as for the voice that was all me! check it out!

Movie Voice Machine

This is my first audio assignment for ds106. I decided to do the Movie Voice Machine Assignment. For more detail, click here. (3stars) The point of the assignment was to create a voice machine of a character from a movie or tv show. Due to my lack of garageband, the only creative thing I could do at the time was put on an accent. I decided to pretend and be Connie Britton from NBC’s hit show, Friday Night Lights. This shows, mainly about football, takes place in Texas. I attempted a terrible southern accent and tried to say things that she would say! If i had garageband, which I think I am going to take it upon myself to edit this message, I would add the Friday Night Lights theme song in the background.

Hey y’all!!!

Movie Voice Machines

3 Star Assignment

Process

I knew from the beginning I wanted to make a voicemail of the legend….wait for it… DARY character known as Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. I looked up several youtube videos of Barney to familiarize myself with Barneys character again. From there I made several recordings and this was my best product. No one but Neil Patrick Harris can replicate the awesomeness that is Barney Stinson

Motivation

I just wanted to be awesome like Barney. Even though I have seen every episode of How I Met Your Mother it is still impossible for me to replicate him well. The confidence that Barney exudes and his quick wit is something I wish I had. Oh well, I suppose many want to be as awesome as Barney.

Voicemail Assignment

This is my recording for the Movie Voice Machine audio assignment.  Julia Child was a real person but she was also a movie character played my Meryl Streep in Julie and Julia so I figured that tweaking this assignment was allowed.

The Boondock Saints Answering Machine.

Since The Boondock Saints is one of my favorite movies of all time, I just had to make a answering machine from it. They are two of my favorite characters to ever be in a movie and I found the perfect clip from the sequel, added a beep noise from freesound.org, trimmed, edited,  and voila! Enjoy!
