For my troll quotes I first chose to use the famous picture from the movie 300. After that I followed up with a quote from “The Gladiator” when Russell Crowe said “What we do in life echoes an eternity”. Then to finish up the assignment I attributed the quote and image to Prince Dakkar or most know him as Captain Nemo from Twenty Thousand Leages Under the Sea.
This was a miniature article making Emily have a twisted sense of humor. This assignment was pretty straight forward. You simply just needed a marker to blacken words from a newspaper article and create a new story with the words that are left unblackened.
Story line:
Brad has had a change of heart. He has grown tired of his lifestyle. Day after day he becomes more and more annoyed with how things are. From days of coming home to disgusting tasting food or days when he would slip down the stairs because of the dog intentionally peeing on the floor, he has had enough. He has been with his wife for a decade but has fallen out of love with her. Brad complains that she lives her life as if she’s inside a video game. All she does is stay in the house all day and make cookies. After taking a long time to decide, approximately one minute, Brad calls for a U-Haul truck to collect his things and leave her. He will journey far away to find his new love, the next door neighbor Kelly.

For this assignment, we were supposed to create an alphabetically ordered collage, focusing on one topic. For this I started with a blank canvas in Photoshop, and then copied the images onto it, removing the backgrounds. The I moved it until I felt like the fit together. And finally I copied a wood texture over all of my layers and selected “blend mode > multiply” and lowered the Hue and Saturation so that it wasn’t so yellow-ish.

For this Visual Assignment I we were asked to use a previous photo that we have taken and make a sketch of that photo.
Inspiration: I choose to use a photo that I took in France of a statue that I thought was really cool. I statue is of Trident (the famous ruler of the Sea).
Process: To make the sketch I used a program called Dumper where it automically and create cool effects on your photos without having to download any software! All you have to is select the effect and then upload your photo and BAM your done!

An Album Cover
The name of the band that I got from a random wikipedia article is Valea Vidri?ca River.
Then I got the random quote, (from Twilight “etched in my mind” as the album name
Then I got the random image from the link provided.
I put them together and messed with the fonts and colors some, and voila!
Common Everyday Object:
I admit that I just used a filter for this one, specifically “False Color” and chose dark red as the primary color, and light blue as the secondary color.
Here’s a “Splash of Color”
I used Pixelmator, a cheaper Photoshop alternative available from the Mac App Store.
I selected everything but the blue part, then used the sponge tool to desaturate the image.
