Find or take a pretty photo that would work well for a poster. Bring it into Adobe Illustrator and make it into an image trace- I used low fidelty photo. Next, bring the photo into Adobe Photoshop and make any changes or add any missing elements- I painted a large sky using a gradient and low opacity brush to make it a poster size rather than square. Finally, add some text with city name or nickname- I added some fog on top cause it's San Francisco and I also erased the bottom of some of the letters to make it ...

Here's some ideas: Overwrite the text/add elements to the picture/"fake" screenshot art! This is from my favorite game Animal Crossing. It creates a twisted kind of meme to leave a person laughing or questioning why they just got told that in thr game, but its just ...

Make an animated gif from your favorite/least favorite movie capturing the essence of a key scene. Make sure the movement is minimal but essential. Note this is a classic and historic DS106 assignment, the second one ever created. It has been resurrected from the tomb of lost assignments.

Landscape paintings often look like lonely places. What if we took some inspiration from Arrowhead altered art and added people or other characters to Bob Ross paintings? After all, every painting needs a friend.

A quick way to convert a photo of something to a sketched image is to download the PencilPhotoSketch application. When you open the app, it will give you the option to either take a photo or upload a previous photo. After you have your selected photo on the screen, you will see options at the bottom for what style of sketch you'd like to choose. You can slide your finger through the different styles, and when you find something you like, click on it. Once you are satisfied with the result, there is a floppy disk image in the top ...

Using Adobe photoshop or a comporable program, create a clipping mask with text. Use an image from earth or grass and use the lasso or selection tool to add blades of grass outside the mask. Add a drop shadow or bugs to make it appear more realistic.
