This is my Ds 106 radio commercial!
I made it while cleaning for break. I bet you can’t guess why…messy roommates! I would love if there was someone to clean my room for me! I put the vacuum at the end to help really sell it!
This was the radio commercial assignment worth 3 stars.
For this week’s Assignment, I was challenged by my instructor stretch outside of my creative comfort zone and try an audio project. So, I created this Radio Commercial for my Visual Communications course with GarageBand, Word Art (https://wordart.com/create), and iMovie. Sho
We needed at least three commercials for our radio show, so I took on another for this week just before my group recorded and assembled ours. Since I graduate this semester, I’ve been thinking (and stressing) a lot about potential career opportunities, and reflecting on the different ways that being a UMW student has helped me develop skills an employer would find valuable.
The Comm & Digital Studies major encouraged me to test my creative limits, to become a better writer and public speaker, and to develop a strong sense of digital literacy. I figured I should verbalize these positives and encourage others to look into the major through an audio advertisement. I formed my thoughts into a script and found music on Free Music Archive to play in the background.
The last stars for my audio assignments this week was put towards my radio show commercial. I picked the audio assignment make your own radio commercial which was worth 3 1/2 stars. To complete this assignment I wrote up a script for my commercial idea and one that is specific to my radio show group! After I wrote up my final draft I recorded my script through Soundcloud. Then I added in some super theme song music, which tags along with our game show aspect of the radio show as well! Now all my small individual components for our upcoming radio show are complete! Can not wait to put them all together and see how it comes out!! Enjoy my superhero meet and greet commercial!
I made this commercial for the radio show KLLM which we named because it is each of the people’s first initial in the group. I wanted to make a commercial that could be realistic on an actual radio show and something that is pertaining to events that are going to happen. So I thought it would be good to use the holiday coming up as inspiration! I like how it turned out I wish I could make the transition flow a little better but thats what I got from working with audacity. I took 2 songs from the internet and added them as the background I give full credit to the creators of the songs and make no claims to them.
I decided to create a commercial as part of my contribution to our group project. I hoped to incorporate the superhero theme while also making something that you might actually hear on the radio. I’ve heard several radio commercials about cars and events. Yet where did my mind go? Food, of course.
I did some research on oats, wrote and recorded a script, then found audio clips to use in the background. I intended the commercial to address parents’ desire to make their kids healthy, while also addressing their children’s potential interest in being more like their favorite superheroes.
I found a few great audio clips on Freesound; children playing at a park, a record scratch, some vocal clips, and upbeat background music. Using Audacity, I placed each clip where I saw fit and arranged my narration in a way that helped it flow well. The result is an upbeat and fun advertisement for SuperOats, a treat any kid would love!
Make your own radio commercial – 3.5 Stars
This is the commercial I made for my group’s radio show! I decided to base it off of my superhero and how you can get into contact with her. I used Garage Band to edit my recordings and used Voxal to alter my voice. If you don’t have any culinary skills and are in dire need of some help, just download her app or give her a call/text.
I decided to do the Make your own radio commercial assignment (3,5 stars) and decided to angle it towards our radio show. In this ad, my superhero Charlie Sass has designed a hacking software that I’m trying to sell. I used a song from Free Music Archive to use as a background tune, then just played around with tempo and pitch for my own voice. Enjoy!
Nothing helps a product quite like an endorsement from a superhero.
