The point in this assignment is try to take two exact songs that are different versions and try to play them at the same time. The point is try to get the singers to sing together at the same time and have a mash up of past music and present music. For my example I mixed up a song from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett with Cole Porter, the song is called Anythhing Goes.
Remaster a song so the vocals are 1/2 step out of key. (1/2 step flat) See this YouTube channel full of more flattened songs.
This is a short and simple assignment. Most everyone uses freesound for various audio assignments, but sometimes, you cannot find quite what you are looking for. This assignment is to upload your own sound or sound effect to freesound, preferably something which is lacking.
Lots of people have a particular song that reminds them of certain situations, I know I do! Embed the video of your particular song and a short recording of why you really like the song, or what makes it importatnt to you (I would recomend Soundcloud for this assignment! Have fun!!

You now have 30 seconds to tell this person anything you want and at the end of the conversation they will decide if they want to hang out with you again or not. When you are driving in the car and a radio commercial comes on you might start to tune the radio out. But, if you were the person selling what the commercial was offering would you want people tuning it out or listening intently? Well, I would want people paying attention to my commercial! So, for this audio assignment pick a product or business you would like to promote and sell! Use a audio recording software such as soundcloud to record your commercial. Add in background music, edits, and provide full information of the business/product/services you are advertising. Try to create a radio commercial that grabs and maintains the audiences’ attention. On the side, write why you chose the object or business you are promoting and the process you used to create your commercial.
When most people think of cowboys, they also think of an Appalachian dialect. Record yourself saying something (whether it be a monologue, song lyrics, poem, etc.) and replace words such as “you guys” “uh”, a.k.a. typical American space words, with words like “ya’ll” “yee-haw”. Watch as your simple monologue turns into the rooty tooty speech of the West!

For this assignment find your inner DJ! Look around your house and find an object or two that make a cool noise, and create some sort of rhythm with it! Record, and upload it to Soundcloud for everyone to hear! Have fun and be creative!
