Youtube Duet

This is something one of Master’s friends has been synching together for a while are incorporated together in these videos. Ā They synch up perfectly, although the audio on the video on the left has to be turned down in order for it to work. Ā Well, it’s hypnotizing–enjoy.

Movie Music Comparison—– can you score?

For this assignment I used Madagascar’s soundtrack “I like to move it move it” and I used Happy Feet’s soundtrack “I’m bringing fluffy back.” I used audacity to blend the two songs together. Then I opened up Windows Movie Maker added two backgrounds one of Happy Feet and the other of Madagascar, put my audio in, and then added a title HAPPY MADAGASCAR!

First Attempt at a Remix!

Movie Trailer Mashup:

Worth 4 stars:

I mashed together the Brave trailer with the Harry Potter theme music. At first, I was going to use the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song but I think Potter works much better.

I downloaded the Brave trailer from youtube with iLivid and imported it into premiere. Then I muted the track Audio 1 so there was no sound coming from the actual trailer. Once I did that, I imported the Potter theme music. Yes, I already had it. I put the mp3 on track Audio 2 and used the razor tool to cut out what I didn’t need. I tried to make it go pretty closely together with Brave. Both movies are kind of magical too. Then I exported it as an mp4 and just let youtube have it (and probably report me for copyright infringement. oh well, bring it).

I really love the movie Brave and HP has got to be my favorite wizard movie of all time! (I say wizard movie because I always liked Neville wayyyy more than Harry. I even thought I was a really good Hermione look alike for a while). I tried really hard with this assignment. I wanted to make it so that I could match it up with different dialogue, but nothing else seemed like it would work.

Will Smith Transformation

For this 4 star assignment, Actor Transformation, we had to take clips of an actor and show their development and how they have changed. I chose to do this for Will Smith. He began with Fresh Prince of Bel-air, and moved onto bigger movies such as Men in Black. The Men in Black series show a great progression of Will Smith starting with MIB I in 1997, to MIB II in 2002, and MIB III in 2012. I clipped and trimmed clips in Windows Media Player. Doesn’t look like Will Smith has aged too much, but you can definitely see the difference from Bel-Air to 2012 Will Smith in MIB III.

Adventurer Crossover Battle

For this mashup, I decided to do the Crossover Battle Royal assignment. The assignment calls for a creation of an image or video with characters from two different universes who come together for an epic duel. I chose two of my favorite video game characters, Lara Croft and Nathan Drake. Both are on and endless quests for treasure and both can pack a punch. I played with a few different images using this mashup but I think this one turned out the best.

uncharted-2

The hardest thing about combining the two characters was finding images that had room for an extra character.

Here are the original images:

The Music Mash (he did the music mash)

Radio Channel Flipping. Ā I think everyone’s done it before, especially when you’re bored in traffic on the road or something. Ā I bet it was just as popular back in the 50s, when Radio was King, as Channel Surfing is today.

I made a little piece that simulates the radio searching experience, using the unused pieces of other people’s projects. Ā I’m so environmentally friendly. Ā All five of the required reused pieces are in there–plus a little bit of my own spin. Ā Well, enjoy.

I Might Lose Friends Over This

There you have it. A mashed up movie poster for the prequel to the 2011 smash hit “Magic Mike.” Ā I used different elements from Patrick Swayze’s (R.I.P.) career to compose this new, very different piece of …art? The hardest part of this image was working with the spotlight clip art and inserting it into a plain Roadhouse movie poster. I can’t wait until someone stumbles across this and wonders why in the hell would anything like this exist. Answer=DS106.

Opposites Attract Complete and Tutorial

The assignment, Opposites Attract, I made under the prestesce of creating aĀ mash-upĀ song utilizing two songs from completely different genres. The first task in completing this assignment is finding two songs from different genres that you enjoy and have similar beat structures. Below is a Video Tutorial and the final product of the assignment.

Recycle the Media

After the posting of over 150 pieces of unused media we are tasked to use at least 7 piece and create a story. After scouring the site I came up with the below concept. I used Sony Vegas for all of the editing Visual and Audio. Its a simple concept showing what happens in the morning when you wake up.

Tutorial on making a ringtone

Make your own RingtoneĀ

Using Audacity, trim, join end-to-end (cut/paste), and/or play side-by-side audio files in order to create your very own ringtone. Ringtones should be a maximum or 40 seconds to conserve phone memory (besides, most cell phones don’t ring longer than 30 seconds or so…the extra 10 seconds is just in case). Be creative, you might want to actually use it on your phone. Please properly cite all sources used — Remember, fair use requires money to use as a defense.

This was a 2 star assignment from audio repository of ds 106.
