Lets go to the Eiffel Tower.

How do you live in France your whole life and never go to the Eiffel tower? That was my thought exactly, so I decided it was time I took a trip since I now have some free time being alone and all. It was a great change of scenery and who would have thought but I got my eye on a new potential  man ;)

Movie on 3-29-15 at 9.03 PM

I did this assignment by going onto PhotoBooth on the computer and finding the background in the effects. I am not going to lie me and technology are not friends so this took me a long time to accomplish. Once I got my effect I just recorded myself in front of it, so I guess you could say I had the “green screen effect”.

Nightmares (3 stars)

So for another of my 15 stars, I chose to do the audio to visual assignment. Well I searched through Abigail Deaconson’s blog to find if I liked any of the work she did. Well I found something she calls Creep… and it peaked my interest so I clicked on it. Well after listening to … Continue reading Nightmares (3 stars)

I’m a Bee

This is for the “Create a Music Video” video assignment.  For whatever reason, when I saw this assignment post, I thought of that terrible Black Eyed Peas song, Imma Be.  Whenever I heard that song when it was popular, all I could think of was that it sounded like the guy was saying “I’m a Bee”.  So I decided to make a parody music video with my spaz of a friend back home.  We mostly just goofed around with the camera and a bee suit, finding ways to play on the song’s lyrics.  It took quite a while to make, but it was fun as hell to do.  When I got back up to Fredericksburg, I put all the footage on my desktop and started editing through the hours of footage we took.  Here’s the result of our labors.

Jim Sardic turned off the video half-way through.  People still connected to the internet do the weirdest stuff, he thought.  He sat in his secondary office, a rundown closet behind a salon in Queens.  Technology still works here, and even though Sardic preferred the old school ways that Manhattan had readopted since the Puncture, his job required him to contact the outside world every once in a while.  The people who made this parody video had been missing for some time now, and their friends are convinced outsiders had something to do with it.  Sardic hoped not; outsiders don’t usually leave the vicinity of the Puncture.  But it happens.  Brooding all the while, he jotted down info on the victims from social media sites.  Their habits, interests, and whereabouts all went into Sardic’s little brown notebook.  He smirked as he turned the off the computer and got up to leave.  “And people wonder why we New Yorkers like our privacy,” he muttered as he walked out the door.

Character Identification with Lebowski (4 Stars)

The Big Lebowski is a cult movie and a classic movie at the same time. It brought to life nothing at all while being completely vivid. The following is a character identification piece I put together using iMovie. check out other video assignments by clicking the tag at the end of this post.

The Importance of Wafting, In 30 Seconds

I’m a very busy person so I figured a quick and informative documentary would benefit many people. I commonly see this mistake being made in the lab. I hope this will help fix the problem. I used materials from previously made YouTube videos and then did some editing to catch people’s eye.

Donnie’s Breakfast Burrito

After a long week, I decided I would share with you my favorite Los Angeles-inspired breakfast dish. The breakfast burrito, prepared in a single pan. Mise en place: 1 6-8oz Sirloin steak 5 small corn or flour tortillas 1 green…

Join the War Effort!: PSA by Veronica Smith

5 stars

I am perhaps one of the most patriotic women of my day. I do all I can to help the war effort from home. Although I love shopping, I reuse and mend my clothing. I buy war bonds, and of course am a professional at rationing. Although I do not work in a factory, I do do my part in entertain the many soldiers that pass through Clarkson and the Hideaway Lounge. I try to use my time on stage to help them forget of everything else… even if its just for one song. I believe that every women needs to do their part in this war. Small or large, we can all help the war effort!

Making this Public Service Announcement was quite fun, however very time consuming. First, I wrote the short script for my PSA. Then I found real war time posters and put them together on a YouTube slideshow. I made the first slide with PowerPoint. I read through my script with the video to judge how long to make each slide… 6 seconds it was. Next I recorded my script with Audacity. I also overlapped a projector noise and some background music to give it a true 1940s, something you see in a cinema, feel. After the audio was all done I recorded it onto YouTube as a separate video (It wouldn’t just let me insert my MP3 file, not sure why?). Once I uploaded the two I put them into creator studio and trimmed and did final editing on the video which was a little harder then I thought, having the two match up perfectly. But I did it! Watch my World War Two PSA and Help the War Effort!!

Hope Trains Don’t Derail You, Too

I hope trains don’t derail you, too. Everyone’s worried about cars and planes nowadays. There’s not much being said about train fatalities. I lost my wife and son. I needed to let everyone know of the pain trains can cause….

Here’s Shadow!

1 Second Video- (1 star)

A one second video remake of The Shining’s “Here’s Johnny” scene featuring my self. I think I look like a pretty scary axe murderer.

PILOTS WANTED

For this assignment we were to create a propaganda film from the 1930s and 40s. I guess I kinda did that… if the 1930s and 40s had giant fighting robots that is.

I mean, I wasn’t there how am I supposed to know? Victoire had a ds- she did a product review of it. Whose to say the GOVERNMENT ALSO DIDN’T HAVE MECH SUITS? I dunno dudes, it’s just a thought.

I found an episode of Gundam and ripped it from youtube, and added in effects. I recorded the background music and imported it into the video.

P.s. this may or may not have been a theme for this week considering I did a video earlier on Pacific Rim….
