I’m pretty sure I did this assignment originally but according to my Control Panel I have 54 posts and I don’t think I have the energy to go through them all to check. So the original assignment prompted the blogger to create a collage that represents them self using words and images but when I remixed it I was prompted to incorporate the 1950’s (Happy Days specifically). When I think about the show Happy Days and the 1950’s I think of Jukeboxes so I decided to use that as the base of my image. Additionally, because I think I have done this assignment before I wanted to put a new spin on it to keep it fresh. I don’t know about y’all but I been doing a ton of those Instagram stories where you post your responses using emojis so I decided to use emoji’s to describe me.
Graduation cap = I’m a student graduating in a few weeks
Laughing face= I can’t take anything seriously and laugh nearly constantly
Tree= I love the outdoors and hiking
Heart= I am genuinely caring person. I am an empathetic soul who feels so much
Taco= Because tacos are amazing
Dog= I love all animals but I have a particular soft spot for dogs
Books= I am a vivacious reader and it is truly my favorite pass time
Flower= I love plants and flowers and like to be as surrounded as possible by their beauty
I laid the base image of the jukebox before going and finding different images of emoji’s (with transparent backgrounds!) so I could layer them on top of the jukebox

For one of my remix challenges I decided to tackle a new challenge. This original photo assignment is called “Your love for your pet (or any other animal that you love”. I LOVE animals so I immediately went to my camera roll and pulled out all the pictures of me and my furry friends. Upon clicking the remix button, my new challenge was to change the media of the assignment. I turned a visual assignment into both a video and audio assignment. I used an app called Spark Video by adobe which I discovered last week and absolutely loved. This allowed me to select my photos and put them into a video. After this I added in audio by selecting a pre-recovered track called traveling buddies (I thought this was fitting as I love traveling with my pets!). After this I saved it to my phone and uploaded it to YouTube and the rest is history!

Redesigned

I decided to redo on this bank assignment since I was not too happy with it. I don’t think I put too much work into it as I should have. Here I changed the logo colors more to bright colors vice just keeping with the original black colors. The redesigned Starbucks logos would not work for the current Starbucks logo since the fonts are either too curvy or bright.

I changed the font of Starbucks to blue and used the font Forte at 48. I think the color blue is too feminine and would not work for Starbucks. The font Forte is too curvy, it would not work with the green and white original Starbucks logo. It would work with the current coordinating colors of the Starbucks logo.

Here I changed the Starbucks words to the font Century Gothic at 48 again. Changed the color to green to match the round logo with the words all capped. I don’t think this would go for Starbucks’ advertisement, the font colors matching the round logo does not fit or match.

I changed the words Starbucks to small caps with red
and font Harlow Solid Italics at point 48. This looks more like a food restaurant
vice a coffee bistro. This would not work for Starbucks unless it were during
the holidays. To change the words to small caps vice all caps isn’t the same Starbucks
logo. This would not work for Starbucks.

Hello, and welcome back to my blog! This assignment is called “The Forest Gump Project” by Bill Genereux. It is worth 3.5 stars and contains the description: “Good ole’ Forrest Gump. He always manages to find himself at the center of history, and using photo editing software, so can you. Find a historic photograph and place yourself into the scene, just like Forrest Gump.”

I decided to slip myself into the Enchantment Under the Sea prom in Back to the Future (1985). I play guitar with Marty McFly and the band, though as you can see, I play an instrument of the future: a Guitar Hero/Rock Band guitar for the Wii. It would be pretty great to ‘play’ with them, and to make a cameo representing the future. I will walk my audience through my process, which was done on Pixlr Editor.

I’m actually very proud of this. It turned out exactly how I envisioned it. This is for the “Design to shock” visual assignment.

What a movie this was. Hopefully, by now, you’ve already watched this movie. I would hate to spoil it. Possibly one of my favorites. Here we go.

It starts off with Tony Stark, clearly a badass, heading to a gun showcase in the middle of the desert.

After showing off his glorious weapon, they head back to where they came from and stuff hits the fan. He ends up captured by terrorists and brought to their secret facility.

At his time being captured, he was asked to recreate a missile that he demonstrated earlier. Instead, he makes an iron suit.

He escapes and makes his way back to America where he becomes the infamous character known as “Iron Man”, and seeks his revenge.

After fighting crime and defeating the terrorists who captured him in the first place, he announces to the world that he is the “Iron Man”.

Behind his back, a top official at his company “Stark Industries” begins to steal his technology. Which he then tries to use to kill Tony Stark.

End of the day, Iron Man was victorious. And remains to be the greatest superhero of all time.
