Remix Part 1

My first assignment that I chose to remix was “what’s in your bag?” I completed this assignment a few weeks ago and showed everyone my everyday essentials that I always keep in my purse.

ScreenHunter_07 Nov. 13 14.05This is my original assignment that I posted a few weeks ago.. As you can see I gave you all a pretty good luck / idea as to what you can find inside my purse at all times:

my umbrella, planner, gum, lipstick, wallet, lotion, hair spray, hand sanitizer, badge, etc.

ScreenHunter_06 Nov. 13 11.18The remixed assignment stated to “Do the opposite of what the assignment says- this can be terms of subject, action, almost anything to make it to be 180 degrees different”

I decided that a complete 180 degree difference would be to not show any detail of what exactly is in my bag and to just show a picture of what my bag looks like.  This is totally different than the original picture.

My Daily Essentials

This photo of my purse shows all the most important items I carry around with me each day. The biggest item is my wallet which carries almost all the most important stuff like my license, my school ID, my debit card and any cash I’m carrying around. The next biggest thing is my little bag that I keep lip stuff and bobbi pins and any other little things I may need. Next are my car keys which are essential for my job and any other activities I plan on doing outside of school. Finally is a little tin of mints and my nail clippers so that I always have nice breath and can get rid of hang nails when I need to!!

What’s in my Dance Bag!

This assignment is totally up my alley! I’m super snoopy, I love to see what other people have in this bags! Technically this is just a what’s in my bag, but honestly mine would have just been too boring. Instead, I’ll show you what’s in my dance bag!

IMG_1565 IMG_1567

The contents of my bag include:

  • Tap Shoes: I’m a tap dancer! I love to tap, and I’m currently choreographing my first tap piece for PAC’s small show!
  • Jazz Shoes: I’m on dance team, so I always need my jazz shoes on hand.
  • Ballet Shoes: I’m currently taking the intro to ballet dance class here, so I always need my ballet shoes!
  • Foot Undeez: These are little fabric pieces that are like “undies” for your feet and toes! They give the no shoe look, while still being able to turn!
  • Turners: These are just for practice! They help you turn really well, but aren’t very pretty.
  • H2Ocean: This is a piercing cleaning solution. I have a lot of piercings, and they tend to get irritated when I dance.
  • Chapstick: I always have chapped lips!
  • Deodorant: Well……a dancer gets sweaty. What can I say?!
  • Hair ties/clips: Always gotta put my hair up!
  • Choreography notebook & Pen: In case I have any ideas for my dance I can always have a place to jot them down
  • Ankle brace: I actually have a sprained ankle, so I need to use this a lot when I dance!
  • Tiger Balm: This stuff is SO good. It turns your skin orange (like a tiger) and instantly warms and relaxes your muscles. I use this on my ankle a lot, and on my recently injured hip!
  • Snacks: Just in case I get hungry!
  • Earphones: Because I’m always walking and dancing down campus!
  • Wallet and keys: Well I gotta get into the gym and my house somehow!

I hope you guys enjoyed going through my stuff!

Everyday Essentials

whats in my bag

When I saw this assignment I kind of got a little excited.. Ok, I got really excited!  Everyone is always asking me why I carry such a big purse all of the time.  I mean the bags that I carry around are huge and come in handy when I go to the movies so I can hide my Chipotle, candy & drinks.  Well as you see above those are some everyday essentials that I carry in my purse no matter what.  The hair spray in the purse is kind of weird but it’s a habit that I have had since about 9th grade (one of my high school teachers thought it was pretty hilarious and she even mentioned it in her speech at high school graduation #embarrassing) Well, anyways.. Below are the details of what you will find in my bag if you dare to take a look.

  1. Striped multicolor umbrella in case the weather takes a turn for the worst!
  2. Lilly Pulitzer agenda always helps me stay organized.
  3. Mad about you body spray from bath & body works
  4. Base badge for work access
  5. Fossil wallet
  6. Perfect Purity Hair Spray
  7. Take 5 gum (mint flavor)
  8. Charmed café body lotion from bath & body works
  9. Hand sanitizer (I won this as a prize so I don’t have very many deets on this item)
  10. MAC lipstick in shade BRAVE

What’s In My Bag?

For this visual assignment I had to take a picture of the contents of my bag and then describe each item. Here is the picture of my amazing bag and the things I stuff in there:

Purse and Contents

So I keep my wallet in my bag because it has my ID and means of payment in it. I keep my keys in my bag just in-case I need to drive somewhere. I keep my sunglasses in my bag so I always have them if I need them. I keep eye drops in my bag because I wear contacts and they sometimes get dry so I can rehydrate them throughout the day if I need to. I keep a hair clip in my bag if I ever get tired of my hair being down or if I don’t want it in my face all day, or if it is really windy out I can put it back. I keep chapstick in my bag in case my lips feel dry and whatever lip color I am wearing that day so I can re-apply it throughout the day. Finally, I keep gum in my bag if I go out to eat so I can freshen my breath or in-case I get bored and need something to occupy myself. I also recently added the flower headband to the handle because I needed a headband with flowers on it and only wore it once so I decided to wrap it around the handle to add some decoration to my bag. What do you carry in your bag?

Visual Assignment Whats in My Bag?

This assignment is quite interesting, its cool to see all the different things everyone carries around with them throughout the day. As for me, I carry a pad of paper in case notes or anything needs to be recorded. The pencils and pens come along with that as well as the lead for the pencils. For when I am outdoors I have a stick of Sports sunscreen and some Chap Stick to get me through the day, also some napkins never hurt anyone. An HDMI cable in case I find myself hooking something up to a TV. My portable phone charger in emergency situations where I need some more battery life as well as keys for my house and a memory stick to hold useful information.

What’s in Your Bag?

The contents of my bag/purse are simple.  It is because I don’t care to carry around too much throughout the day.

They include:  (1) My wallet – that is just a given.  You need your wallet for almost everything. (2) My car keys – I mean, how can I start my car without my keys? (3)  A water bottle – I always carry around a bottle of water.  Especially during the summer, it gets really hot, and people can get dehydrated.  (4) My microfiber lens cleaner – I wear my glasses more than I wear my contacts, and they can get dirty really easily.  (5) Hand Sanitizer – I just like to have it, it is always good to have. (6) Gum – I always like to have gum with me as well.

What I did was grabbed my purse and dumped the contents on the ground.  I set it up so the picture would look good.

Assignment Prompt

What all do you carry in there?!

Inspired by Kate’s blog post of this Assignment (3 stars), I decided to do it myself!

What it basically called for was showing the contents of my bag. I carry my bag everywhere with me. It’s really a sort of life line for me. I don’t think I could function with out it.

To do this assignment, I first took a picture of my purse. Then I took a picture of all the contents together. And finally one of each item individually. Below are the pictures and brief explanation behind each item.

The bag itself!

The contents!

The contents of my bag include:

  • Keys Basic item. On my key ring I have my library card and house keys. The key strap has sloths all over it. Simply because I love sloths.
  • Notebook – Very important! I carry it around in case of ideas. A story can spring up anywhere.
  • Pack of tissues – I’m cursed with really bad allergies. I need to be prepared for runny noses at all times.
  • Umbrella – This is a new addition to my purse. After being caught in the rain multiple times, I finally learned to carry it around with me.
  • Wallet – It’s got all my important items. Cards. Couple of dollars. Random receipts I need to get rid of.
  • DS – I’m sort of obsessed with the thing. I play a few games that update daily (namely Animal Crossing and Tomodachi life), so I like to have my DS with me so I can check them in my spare time
  • Water bottle – I feel like I don’t drink enough water. So a few weeks ago I started carrying bottles in my bag so I can drink on the go.
  • Pencil bag – This holds all my pencils and pens. For writing and doodling. Also for loaning out.

Hope you enjoyed that little peak into my life!

What’s in Your Bag?!

For this Visual Assignment, worth 3 stars, we were asked to take a look at what is in our bag!  The prompt states: “Your purse, bag, packpack, murse, whatever, is your constant companion throughout your adult life. What are the essentials in your bag that get you through the day? Take a picture of the items and detail each of them with a description.”

This was interesting for me seeing I recently cleaned out my purse, which I swear is never ending normally.  As a girl, it is sort of known that if we have a purse it has the necessities in it, but also potentially the most random stuff in it.  To do this I simply took out what was in my purse and arranged it so that you all could actually see what was in my bag.  I then just simply took the picture on my phone and cropped out all the background that did not need to be seen.  I will first attach the picture of my purse with my “dumped out” belongings, then tell you about them all.

photo

First you have my purse of course, large enough to probably hold a small baby.  Half of the time it practically carries my life, this time it is carrying a small part along with a strange part.  Then you have my wallet, this of course I could say also carries a good chunk of my life.  With everything being paid for via cards now, if I lost my wallet, I would probably lose a bit of my mind.  It has my debit and credit cards, license, Eagle One, Insurance cards, AAA, money, etc.  Quite a few important items.  Then begins my more random assortment.  You first have M&Ms candy.  If you have not been able to tell yet, then you have not been paying much attention, but I am on the move, and sometimes frequently.  M&Ms can be a total life savor, especially when I get exhausted and need a small pick-me-up.  This can be said true as well with my finger nail polish.  This is something small, but something that if I desperately need, which I sometimes feel I do, then I have and it helps pick me back up and keep me going with my day.  This is especially nice before some meeting or interview to just get a good coat of polish on so I can feel sleek again and not worry about how they look as much.  Chap stick is another necessity that I almost always have with me.  You never know when you will need to keep them moisturized or put another coat on.  At times, I just enjoy the minty feel on my lips just as a way to help me keep refreshed.  My friends are also notorious for having stuffy noses and need tissues on the spot, but never have them, so they always come to me.  In all honesty, without my friends I likely would not keep tissues in there, I would find toilet paper or something.  This pack of tissues I always laugh about because my, now late, grandmother (for Christmas) gave us all a large thing of the small packs of tissues.  I now also find enjoyment in I guess keeping a small part of me with her by keeping one of her comical gifts with me.

I also have mentos mints and gum.  Now one may think “why does she have both?”  Well, I like to sometimes think of my bag as a mom bag and carry it around to be prepared, but in reality, it is always good to have mints and gum.  Mints are good in those tight moments where you really need to freshen your breath, or just keep some moisture flowing.  It is easy to pop in a quick mint, hide it in the side of your mouth, and continue as is.  Gum, on the other hand, can be viewed as unprofessional when talking to others, or rude if you do not know how to “properly” chew it, so one might choose mints.  Gum though, is something that is seen as good for helping with heartburn after meals.  For a little more detail it helps keep the salivation going and helps to keep washing foods down.  It is also good for road trips or tests with a minty gum to help keep your mind awake and fresh.  Next, I have 10 bucks in my purse, sometimes more, sometimes less.  I can be bad about pulling my wallet out to go somewhere and then forgetting it is not in there when I go somewhere to buy something, so I always try to keep at least a little bit of cash in my purse so that in those tight situations, if I need a few dollars, I have some.  Yes, it happened the other day.  Put my wallet somewhere, then went to get lunch, thankfully I had the money there so I could buy my food!!  Then I have my sunglasses which are obviously useful to hide the sun from my eyes.  I find myself in situations where I am quite thankful I keep a pair in my purse because I will be in a friends car, or at lunch, and it is very bright and I have to go to my last resort in my purse.  I then have my makeup bag.  Another necessity, especially for women.  This I have with me frequently just because my purse is also with me frequently.  It is good for doing my makeup on days I decide to, and it is nice to have for interviews and such.  Also, if there are days that I do need to look nicer than normal, it is nice to have with me in case I need to touch up anything.  Lastly, I have chopsticks.  Why you might ask?!  Who knows when you will find a time to use them.  You might have to win a battle against a ninja, and need chopsticks right?!  Truth has it that I got them at a restaurant and was bringing them home, and have yet to take them out.  But now I find enjoyment from laughing about it and finding funny stories about why I have them and what they are for.

So there is what is in my bag!  Do you keep anything strange in your bag, if so what?!

Whats in Conway and James’ Bag

20150315_223357 (1)

This assignment was to take a picture of an everyday use bag and its items. I chose to make a bag that would be in our characters vehicle. I imagine this walmart back of items to be placed in the center console of their truck for back up reasons. The Zest soap would be used just in-case they had to clean up a mess. The two knives are self explanatory as they are both police officers. The silver comb is to tame their flow after they are done chasing down a criminal. Lastly, The icy hot is for those long days of work when they are aching.

This assignment can be found here and it is worth 3 stars.
