The Wayfarer Redemption Series: The way it would of been if Caelum was not a deceitful son

To start out this ds106 assignment, I recommend anyone that likes epic fantasy novels or historical fantasy novels and haven’t read her books yet, should go read the late Sara Douglass books. They are very very good stories and really get you to love or hate her characters with the emotion she writes her books. She died Sept 2011 from ovarian cancer, just after her last book came out which I just read, and it’s almost reading a self written obituary, even if it isn’t about her life, it is a story told from a woman dieing, the book is The Devil’s Diadem. Now before I get into the assignment, be warned of some spoilers XD!!!

What if Caelum was not a deceitful son:

Being born first to Axis and Azhure, Caelum was named the Starson and gave the reigns of power due to the families love for him. When the third child Dragonstar was born it was found out that Dragonstar was more powerful to Caelum. Caelum acknowledging this superiority from his younger brother gave up his title as StarSon and let Dragonstar become the ruler and leader of the world after Axis and Azhure went to join the gods in their wanderings and search for knowledge. Axis grows up to love DragonStar and gives him the proper care he wishes he had. Due to this RiverStar, DragonStar’s twin sister, remains alive and keeps having a secert relationship with Caelum. When the Timekeeper Demon’s travel and begin ravaging the world around DragonStar. Due to the destruction of the Star Dance by the Timekeeper Demon’s all the god’s and enchanter’s even DragonStar, the most powerful Enchanter, lose their power and are lost without it and do not know how to combat this new threat. DragonStar not being prepared and having his companion’s to fight the demon’s due to not having the path of the detested traitor son. The Timekeeper’s destroy the world as they had done to previous worlds, and the other world protectors would have to train doubly hard DragonStar to fight the demon’s but it is to late for him to learn these lesson’s and the world is destroyed around them and the demons continue ravaging the world as all the inhabitant’s are turned into mindless warrior’s for the Demon’s, allowing them to resurrect their leader, and destroy the Star Dance from all being due to the demon’s utter hatred of the Star Dance. This lead’s to God not be reborn at the end to save all those not ravaged by the demon’s.

Being in Japan the Trains are always busy usually in the morning, which is when this was taken. Why was it so empty on this morning at 9 AM… It was very very quiet and creepy, it’s like something happened no one told me! So does anyone have any ideas?

This is for the “Ask Your Audience – They’re Smarter Than You Think!” ds106 visual assignment.

Change WordPress Banner

Looking for a ds106 assignment to liven up my page and saw this topic posted by RoundhouseSlap and decided to be the first one to link and do it, so it isn’t just sitting there. I also do not like the WordPress offered banner’s so I decided to upload one of my drawing’s I did last summer of a deer skull. It looks interesting and as uncolorful as it is I like the effects that I was able to work into the shading. I did the Change WordPress Banner ds106 it was pretty fun to look through my drawings again to find something I liked.http://assignments.ds106.us/submissiontags/webassignments335/

Wiggle Stereoscopy

Introduction says, “Take two photos of the same subject from slightly different angles. Merge the two photos into a single looped, animated gif to create a wiggle stereoscopic image that simulates 3-D. A very good tutorial explaining the full process can be found on Martin Sutherland’s website.“.

this is the calligraphy ink, and I am using this as a paint when I draw something.

I took this picture from Camera3D which is the Android Free software, I do not know this is available for iPhone.

I Dream a Dream

The Nightmarish Dream

Take a recent dream or nightmare you’ve had and make a visual representation of it for others to see.

I had a rather disturbing dream last week.

A Japanese man that had recently employed me appeared in my dream.  He came to my door with a bottle of prescription pills and forcefully asked how many I was going to buy.  I, of course, was frightened, what do I do?  A dilemma, what if he wanted to send me to jail, but what I angered him by refusing?  I woke in a cold sweat.

After a couple minutes of confusion whilst lying in bed, I looked around my room and had a little chuckle.  To my right sat my computer with a frozen image of a film I’d been watching while falling asleep.

I feel asleep watching The French Connection and dreamed my boss was selling me drugs.

To create the visual aid, I compiled a few picture portions into photoshop:

This is the man I used to represent my boss.

Using the MagicWand tool, I was able to easily crop his body out of the photo and place onto the dream-like, gradient background.

This is the girl I used to represent myself.  After flipping and cropping the photo, I used a different gradient within her form to aid the ‘dream-like’ feel of the representation.

After resizing the photo, I again used the MagicWant feature to separate the YEN to portray my monetary dilemma.

With a clip art pill bottle, my dream sequence is completed!

Shark

Adachi. Outskirts of Tokyo. Old and filthy. Unforgivable sins in the city of the sleek and the new. Large arcade, full of acrid smoke. Tobacco scented. Lights dim. Late night. Everyone focused, numb and obsessed. Lanky geeks, sweaty schizoids, forlorn losers. Oblivious to the passage of time.  Atmospheric electronic thumping beats the preferred music of the evening.

Tense stand offs abound. Violent contests in virtual landscapes. Angelic female figures on projected screens slide and dash. Rending vibrating electric samurai weapons with blue tracers. Red blood. Game over.  ”Uso! Konoyaro!”

Talent, when combined with competition, fosters betting. Shark sniff out marks. Shark looks new to the game. Shark even throws the game once or twice. Then its all “Hey, Bud, lets go, one more game.” “Bakatare, jyozujanai yo.” goes the mark. “Just one more game. Lets put some yen on it.”

Game changes, Shark now shows skills. Practiced and true. A veteran. Intense blitz positioning. Jet fighter maneuvering. Blue light weaving. Blades brought to bare on over confident knave. The expert strikes. Crimson trails feather out from delicate limbs and torso. Enemy’s digital cadaver lies in ruin.”Shinjiraranai…” the mark laments.

Back alley. Smell of broiled fish and old wet garbage. Fresh winnings lining leather jacket pockets. Shark had his full. Lights up cheap Chinese cigarette. Waits for his girl in the neon glow. Sound of drunken revelers passing in the street. She’s late, she’s always late.

This was a writing assignment called Three Word Wednesday. You visit this site and it offers three words for you to try and incorporate into a poem or a story. It’s supposed to help over come writers block. My words were angelic, foster and ruin. My inspiration was Gibson and his adoration for all things Japanese cool. I got the arcade image from here
